The Jehovah's witness church is one of the churches in Nigeria and world at large. But my question is that are they really Christians or what can we call them? from my own observation I observed that their doctrines are totally out of the biblical doctrines.

Yes they called their self christians,but my own observations I don't think they are becos most of their doctrines did not align with the bible,moreover they have their own bible,and their behavior just like cult or muslims

I am proudly one of Jehovah's Witnesses. You will really need to get to know us more before you can conclude. We follow what is written in the Bible closely. The more reason why many hate us. We are not Saints and we also do sin many times. However, we have a system based in Bible verses in place to check wrongdoings and to align us more with the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. While some practise sins inn secret due to the imperfect flesh that we all have, but you can be sure that once a secret is blown open, there's a system in place to keep our congregations clean and holy. There's appropriate sanctions to discipline offenders and wrongdoers.

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Feel That They Are the Only People Who Will Be Saved?

We offer our prayers in Jesus’ name.—John 15:16.
We believe that Jesus is the Head, or the one appointed to have authority, over every man.—1 Corinthians 11:3.
However, in a number of ways, we are different from other religious groups that are called Christian. For example, we believe that the Bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, not part of a Trinity. (Mark 12:29) We do not believe that the soul is immortal, that there is any basis in Scripture for saying that God tortures people in an everlasting hell, or that those who take the lead in religious activities should have titles that elevate them above others.—Ecclesiastes 9:5; Ezekiel 18:4; Matthew 23:8-10.

It can not be argument, because when the truth of the gospel is preached every false teaching/doctrine would bow. For you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Being a Christian is a daily walk (relationship) with God (the Trinity combined) and having an encounter with Him.

Because Satan can brandish falsehood and make it sound good to you all these things you are saying became the dogma in most religions since they have been said repeatedly in their ears whereas these doctrine never produce the FRUIT expected of Christianity!😟

Now let's go back to Jehovah's Witnesses and the FRUIT they produced with their seemingly devilish doctrines.
1. LOVE this group is the one and only organization that has promoted love in all the nations among peoples who are willing to obey Christ Jesus so when talking about WARS that often leads many worshipers into killing their own fellow believers JWs don't participate! John 13:34-35; Mark 12:31

2. JOY there is no religion that's has promoted joy in the hearts of their members like JWs as this people often create time to visit their neighbors despite the hardship that's affecting the world making everyone so busy with daily activities. Matthew 10:11-13 compare to Luke 10:17

3. PEACE when talking about peaceful people JWs are the first to remember because they don't participate in any kind of protests or violent acts in the public. Matthew 10:16

4. PATIENCE due to anxiety in our world today patience is lost but JWs are known for their patience as they always go about their daily life without desperation unlike those taking the lead in other religions who are known for their desperation to get rich at all cost! Matthew 6:19-21

I can go on and on with all the nine qualities of God's holy spirit as JWs are unitedly exhibiting the FRUIT. This doesn't mean you can't find few bad eggs among them just as it occurred in the first century among Christians but in most countries people will tell you the same thing about this group and can you imagine that even among Arab as in Islamic countries JWs still exhibit the same FRUIT?

So my friend use the lense Jesus gave us not human philosophy to judge this matter!

Quite true. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are actually one of the few denominations who are still following Christ. Most churches now are headed by motivational speakers who only use the name of Jesus to preach other things. The goal is to attract members to their church and the members will bring the money.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told.

They do not pay tithes. They are the only Christian denomination yet to be commercialized. They are my favourite.

I would love to be a JEHOVAH'S WITNESS, because of their gentle life. Relaxed service and programs(not those stressful and loud types), and serenity of their church yard. Infact, its this serenity of their abode that blows my mind!

But the thing that worries me, is their misled teachings. How can you say that we are not going to die, but remain on earth and unite with our love ones and live happily together forever!

I am not sure the respect JWs have is on account of what you say. It is more on account of their general simplicity, general adherence to bible truth, and the fact that no one can accuse them of being commercialised or money or power focused like most other denominations are. Alot of people see a purity in them which is lacking in many other places. I should know, for as I told you, in my youth, I used to be one.

I can say for a truth, the Jehovas witness I have come across live very calm and peaceful lives in most cases worthy of emulation.

The nominal so called christains you meet these days are void of a lot of good attributes, as the leaders in most churches are nonchalant in saying the truth repeatedly and focusing on other subject topics that rather reduces the good image of the christain faith.
Also, this is because its a religion of freedom, hence, there are little or no penalty in breaking the rules, apart from a few places amongst those who occupy leadership position, which may just include stripping them of their offices and all.

If you sin, its you and firstly your conscience from the Holy Spirit, that keeps pricking your heart to seek repentance from God. If the sinful habit continues, the Holyspirit becomes quiet and leaves. Then, if the individual dies in sin, he/she is judged by God.

Then, let me emphasise 2nd Timothy 2:19 - Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

The problem is not with individuals but the organization they belong.
True Christianity is not about singling oneself out thinking we can be Christ like in the gathering of unbelievers just because they are claiming Christians.
True Christianity will teach and organize us on how to do the work Jesus assigned to his disciples globally.

That is where all other religions failed!

The truth of the gospel is there for all Believers to see, read and obey. For obedience is better than sacrifice.

However, living a Christian life comes with divine empowerment by the Holyspirit. It's never casual or by the power of the flesh.
Also, having to walk with God comes from genuine yearn of God's manifold power, and it's for all who desire it, not just for pastors alone.

Having a background understanding about the things of God would make us know that standing right before Him is all thay matters.

You use the human excesses you see around to judge people, but before God, they are His people, He is the one that rebukes them and He would judge them and certainly not with the lenses of men eyes.

You see when a religion is regimental and so strictly followed, as we see in a lot of religion around, it almost can be concluded upon that, they are enjoyed to work out their salvation, and failure to do so would result to a missed benefit or in some cases, punishment.

Keys to being a Christian/Believer and not just because one bears a Christian name:
This is where Christianity draws the line from others
• Belonging to a church, where the truth of the bible is preached
• We are saved by grace not by works or display of sect of doctrine.
• Being born again, by water and spirit and are encouraged to grow in the knowledge of God's word.
• Living Holy, for God has given us grace! - for He would judge us because His eyes are upon the good and evil and He sees in the secret not just the act of display we put on before the eyes of men.
A true Believer knows, that if he lives in sin, this would grieve the Holyspirit and we depart from the presence of God.
• Love your God with all your heart and all that's within you and love your neighbour as yourself - in this, we have fulfilled the other commandments.
When we love God, we wouldn't do things He hates, and when we love our neighbours, we would not do evil to another human.
• Follow peace with all men - live in peace with all men.
• Maintain His (Gods) presence (private worship, routine prayers, periodic fastings, and church gatherings), in other words, walk in the Spirit at all times.

When a Christian does the above, with the help of the Holyspirit, he emanate the fruits and gifts of the spirit effortlessly.

I think from the other post I made you can draw clear conclusions on the points listed.

In this your post, your errors are:
• We would all stand before God in judgement individually as the bible says, not as a church or units
• God judges the heart, and not the act of display, this is not to say Christains should not act in a way that is not Christlike.
• I am a Christian, I attend a Bible living Church, He sees my imperfections and weakness, yet overlooks my shortcomings by His mercy and extraordinary grace, yet I walk in daily submission to His will and a true repentant heart when I go astray. I know my Father and He knows me and I grow in the knowledge of Him that has called me.

My points from the very beginning still stands: the Jehovas witness does not practice Christianity as it demystifies the power of salvation and grace rather, encourages salvation through work alone amongst other points I listed from the very beginning.

Let me enlighten you with undeniable evidence that Jehovah's Witnesses are the only Christian Organization!

There is no reason for establishment of any religion in the beginning because all what Adam, Eve and their children need to do is never to touch the tree of knowledge of good and evil {Genesis 2:17} if they keep to this single rule life everlasting is sure for them but it was after the fall of Adam and Eve that they started bearing children that is why we need a religion that will guide faithful, loyal and humble people back to God.

So what is the purpose of Christianity?

Christianity was established to gather all faithful, loyal and humble people in all the nations under one religion. Isaiah 2:2; Micah 4:1; Zephaniah 3:9

WHY? Because after confusing the tongue of mankind God knew Satan will use it as a tool to wipe out humans from the surface of the earth so that by the time God wants to destroy Satan mankind in general will be busy building destructive weapons to kill one another! Revelation 6:3-4

That is why Jesus need to establish one religion in order to gather faithful, loyal and humble people during the time when Satan is working round the clock to exterminate mankind in general. Revelation 12:12

So Jesus commissioned with this single aim that is why we must preach and teach what he taught us to whoever is willing to listen {Matthew 10:11-13} but Satan is also doing his own work he is promoting pride in the mind of billions through false religions, racism, class, affluence and politics so that whoever is engulfed in any of these things can't join Jesus' religion! Luke 18:18-23

Today only JWs achieved what Jesus foretold regarding the sign that will help honest hearted individuals to know his group.

How?

Jesus commanded his disciples to love their neighbors as themselves {Mark 12:31} how are they going to do this? Jesus did not just say it but taught them how to go about it which is going to pay uninvited visits to their neighbors at home to discuss about God's plan for salvation {Matthew 10:11-13} Jesus added that whoever refuses to listen will find it really difficult on the day of judgement {Matthew 10:14-15} this is so because while Jesus' disciples are going to meet people at home and discussing on how God wants to save faithful people the angels are writing down the names of both the disciples and those welcoming them for the discussion {Malachi 3:16} so when the angels come down to strike the evil people those whose names are written will be spared. Revelation 20:15

But why are they spared?
Is it just because they listened to Jesus' disciples?

NO! They will be spared because by the time Satan has promoted hatred in the minds of billions through different tactics only those studying the Bible with Jesus' disciples will see everyone around them as either neighbors they must love as themselves {Mark 12:31} or fellow believers they must love just as Jesus loves them! John 13:34-35

Now a question for you!

If the ruler of your country orders the army in your country to go and destroy the people of another country due to disagreement between rulers will you still love the people in that country as your neighbors and those claiming Christians their as your brothers in Christ?

That is what Jehovah's Witnesses have achieved globally today as none of us is into politics or military service therefore when you hear of wars around the world know that no single JW is out there killing his neighbors because we have beat our swords into farming tools {Isaiah 2:4} just as the Prince of Peace COUNSELED us! There is no reason for establishment of any religion in the beginning because all what Adam, Eve and their children need to do is never to touch the tree of knowledge of good and evil {Genesis 2:17} if they keep to this single rule life everlasting is sure for them but it was after the fall of Adam and Eve that they started bearing children that is why we need a religion that will guide faithful, loyal and humble people back to God.

So what is the purpose of Christianity?

Christianity was established to gather all faithful, loyal and humble people in all the nations under one religion. Isaiah 2:2; Micah 4:1; Zephaniah 3:9

WHY? Because after confusing the tongue of mankind God knew Satan will use it as a tool to wipe out humans from the surface of the earth so that by the time God wants to destroy Satan mankind in general will be busy building destructive weapons to kill one another! Revelation 6:3-4

That is why Jesus need to establish one religion in order to gather faithful, loyal and humble people during the time when Satan is working round the clock to exterminate mankind in general. Revelation 12:12

So Jesus commissioned with this single aim that is why we must preach and teach what he taught us to whoever is willing to listen {Matthew 10:11-13} but Satan is also doing his own work he is promoting pride in the mind of billions through false religions, racism, class, affluence and politics so that whoever is engulfed in any of these things can't join Jesus' religion! Luke 18:18-23

Today only JWs achieved what Jesus foretold regarding the sign that will help honest hearted individuals to know his group.

How?

Jesus commanded his disciples to love their neighbors as themselves {Mark 12:31} how are they going to do this? Jesus did not just say it but taught them how to go about it which is going to pay uninvited visits to their neighbors at home to discuss about God's plan for salvation {Matthew 10:11-13} Jesus added that whoever refuses to listen will find it really difficult on the day of judgement {Matthew 10:14-15} this is so because while Jesus' disciples are going to meet people at home and discussing on how God wants to save faithful people the angels are writing down the names of both the disciples and those welcoming them for the discussion {Malachi 3:16} so when the angels come down to strike the evil people those whose names are written will be spared. Revelation 20:15

But why are they spared?
Is it just because they listened to Jesus' disciples?

NO! They will be spared because by the time Satan has promoted hatred in the minds of billions through different tactics only those studying the Bible with Jesus' disciples will see everyone around them as either neighbors they must love as themselves {Mark 12:31} or fellow believers they must love just as Jesus loves them! John 13:34-35

Now a question for you!

If the ruler of your country orders the army in your country to go and destroy the people of another country due to disagreement between rulers will you still love the people in that country as your neighbors and those claiming Christians their as your brothers in Christ?

That is what Jehovah's Witnesses have achieved globally today as none of us is into politics or military service therefore when you hear of wars around the world know that no single JW is out there killing his neighbors because we have beat our swords into farming tools {Isaiah 2:4} just as the Prince of Peace COUNSELED us! Isaiah 9:6🙂

The foundational basis of Christianity here is claimed to be understood and is misinterpreted and twisted. This is in deed sad. It is as if there's a brain washing.

Father in heaven! you appeared before your people in Shiloh and revealed yourself to Samuel. Lord Jesus Christ, help us. You said in your word, that no one cometh unto you except you draw them, as it's not by man's effort or so called religious rites.
Open our eyes to see your revealed word of God, by the help of your Holy Spirit.
Lord Jesus Christ, open our hearts to receive from your manifold grace and believe indeed in the power of the resurrected Christ and in the working power of your Holyspirit in this end times.

Can you mention one of your so called Bible believing church where everyone can see that truly there is love among them as they come from different nations.

I can only see one group and that is no other than Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jesus said about his group:

“You are the light of the world. A city cannot be hid when located on a mountain. People light a lamp and set it, not under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it shines on all those in the house. Likewise, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens." Matthew 5:14-16

God said through Isaiah the prophet:

“Look! My servants will eat, but you will go hungry. Look! My servants will drink, but you will go thirsty. Look! My servants will rejoice, but you will suffer shame. Look! My servants will shout joyfully because of the good condition of the heart, But you will cry out because of the pain of heart And you will wail because of a broken spirit.  You will leave behind a name that my chosen ones will use as a curse, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will put each of you to death, But his own servants he will call by another name" Isaiah 65:15

In the highlighted thousands of false religions claims they are disciples of Christ (CHRISTIANS) this has led to a lot of confusion globally as these religions commits atrocities all in the name of Christians in fact most traditionalists are calling their people now to trash the Bible due to all the atrocities committed in that name but the true God separated His own worshipers and gave us another group name:

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

That is why we are totally different in all things of course our beliefs differs from all others and you can all see the quality whether you admit it or not! Matthew 5:14-16🙂

This is not a scriptural battle but what i call "CLARIFICATION"

I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves. John 13:34-35

Please twist it anyhow you wish the only thing i need from you now is the group where people can see that love binds them together despite the fact that they are from different nations.

You keep on bringing up the gospel of John 13.
There's no religion on earth, where it's members are encouraged to kill each other. The same goes to Christainity as we love one another even our enemies, we love and pray for them.

I have laid my submission where Christianity differ from the religion of Jehovah's Witness. You went on quoting scripture from the old testament to the new with no spiritual meaning to the foundation of Christianity.

There are many religion that draws source from the Bible, but there's just one truth!
You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!
