After going through his thread on "behind the movie scenes" my keen interest, suspense, enthusiasm, anticipations and love for foreign action movies became reprogrammed mycheww!!
Just seeing "Mad Max for the umpteenth time and lost all interest on the movie background and all that road dust and smokes, all I keep seeing is that green cloth material at the background during the "making" and which made me loose all interest.
Sometimes, it is better to live in that world of fiction than the harsh reality. All thanks to sile12 for my loosing my movie taste bud.

will it make u feel better knowing that Mad Max had zero green screen and CGI?? Every stunt & explosion u see in that movie is 100% practical effects. It's why it's such a masterpiece. Hardly do u come across movies with such authenticity nowadays.

cool. But what i meant is that dose stunts & explosions were not created digitally. they were shot first on location then enhanced digitally. Only few blockbuster movies do that.

Yeah the stunts & explosions were all practical and done in-camera.
It makes the most sense to green screen the arm; especially one as complex as this. For some easier ones they might just digitally paint it out.

Pretty much my fav film of the year so far.

And it's also amazing how all the night scenes were shot daytime overexposed... got to practice & learn that myself.

Yeah I know about Day-for-night and have shot that before but their method of actually overexposing is pretty intriguing. Will definitely try that out or even better still - when the new 'BM' Mini-URSA 4.6K becomes available since it does have a higher dynamic range than their already existing cameras.

Different 'tools' for different jobs... I still have a 'low-end' DSLR... not knocking them at all.

Our confidence shouldn't lie in the tools we have but in 'ourselves' and what we believe we can do with the said tools we have.

If na 'common' phone persin get... then they are still capable of shooting a film that rocks Sundance of all places -
