They both have a kind of stigma in Africa (will change with time though), which is more acceptable, in other words guys which of these two will a young man marry and tongues will not wag, ladies which will you prefer your brother to marry. honest opinion needed. |

When it comes to issues of marriage, love and compatibility becomes the two most important considerations. More so, the choice of a partner between these two ( single mother and childless divorcee ) has no generally acceptance preference as it is dependent on the individual's assessment criteria. However, in a situation where both have equal ratings aside their status, and maybe they were just victims of circumstance (lets say the single mother was a victim of circumstance like rape and the divorcee was unfortunate to have inadvertently married a man who already has wife or wives somewhere else) then I will prefer the divorcee for my brother. 3 Likes |

[color=#000033] Everyone has a preference when choosing a lady to wife. To be honest its hard picking the woman with a child and never married. Call it stigma or societal hypocrisy but its hard to just choose her cos of the stereotype belief. As for the divorcée, I can marry a divorcée provided I have a clear picture of why she is now divorced. A case of wife battery and adultery on the path of the man is a good reason to look past the divorce and still marry such woman. its up to the guy to marry whoever he wants but to answer the question, i think the divorcee would get less stigma depending on the reason for the divorce |

FrancisTony:seriously SMH for you! so even if she's got all the attributes and qualities you've always prayed for, plus you're certain you both are compatible, you'll ignore her for simply having a child ? and will prolly rather settle with a chic that will prolly make sure your life is miserable and a living hell simply cos she's without a child? some people sha! well to each his own! @op, it all depends on the personality of the individual (lady) in question. if we're compatible and gat love for each other, I don't see why I won't marry either of them. 2 Likes |

Neither. The baby mama would invariably connect me to her baby daddy. Ain't nobody got time for drama. Per the divorcee, I'd be sceptical about marrying a woman who bailed out of her marriage before she could even get pregnant. That's a fvcking huuuge red flag. I'd bang them both, though...with protection. |
