If the President is making a series of appointments from only ONE side of the map dude this is Nigeria, and that's a thing of legitimate worry, you are the hypocrite if you deny it.

This post is the most stup1d thing I have come to read so far on Nairaland.

So i guess it will be best if we adopt Hausa as our lingua franca and have Buhari address us in this language only.

Why are you Yorubas so attracted to slavery?

The main thing is the man is comfortable speaking the hausa language hence why he has made some appointments to speakers of that language.I believe for him to move this country forward he would probably put more hausa speakers in the those ministry that are mission-critical to the change we all profess.

The bottom-line is we had to choose between the Devil(GEJ) and the deep blue-sea(Buhari) Unfortunately we are stuck with the deep-blue sea and any language the man can deploy to move this country forward is more than welcome. This man has increased our foreign reserve by almost $1.5 billion in one month yet he is a well-known hausa speaker who does not give a hoot whether u understand what he is saying or not. What did our Ph.d Doctor Goodluck did 4 us-NOTHING!!!


I will rather live in progressive Nigeria where all things are working and d economy is doing well with a fervent Hausa speaker as the head than live in a country with a President that has 9 degrees( like Mugabe) where all apparatus of Government has failed.

U can only work effectively with those u feel comfortably with. Speaking d hausa.language to your subordinates especially someone like Buhari who is more accustomed to that language is to me more progressive than having to interprete instructions to someone who does not understand d language.

Moreover all these 11 or suppos3dly 12 appointments does not need approval from d senate, so it makes sense to appoint peo0le u can flow with without any grammer.

What kind of reasoning is this? A whole president of an English speaking country cannot not speak fluent English or even pidgin to follow a Nigerian except Hausa. Why would he need an interpreter for Jesus sake?

Dullard or not, we had little or no choice. It was Either the "Dullard" borrowing your words or the "clueless one" . I rather choose a dullard that has manage to raise our reserve by $1.5 billion in one month than the clueless one who threw this country to the dogs.

From the pic, it looks like the lad is teaching the man how to operate the tab (PA ) while the man marvels at modern technology and the lad's know how. What else could it be.

It gives some people a psychological assurance that they are represented in the seat of government...

Also, some people believe that even if the person is greedy and selfish, he/she will still spend the money in his/her area thereby improving the local economy...

The name of the game is not government, it is private enterprise.

Civil service is not a means to national prosperity or development, sadly many Nigerians do not seem to understand this fact. It is why the north remains the poorest region of the country even after all their angling for political power.

Let be realistic, when voting was on and candidates are been chosen. It was buhari and Osinbajo...
On the other hand it was Gej and Nnamadi Sambo.

Let us not forget that, that is a political structure of governing a country to bring peace.

But on the other hand, when choosing a PA, it is definitely someone u are very close to, in fact close to much more than the vice president(who don't know the president and vp are definitely not close in anyway, if not for their mutual goal to win the election and because they are from the same party that have nominated them).
