Ladi Dosei Kwali popularly known as Dr Ladi Kwali was born in 1925 in Kwali town in the present Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,Nigeria. Probably she is the best known of the Abuja potters. Was awarded a Doctorate and made an MBE in 1963. some places and streets in nigeria was name after her ie ladi kwali hall sharanton Hotel Abuja. You may not know her but you must surely recognise her on the # 20 Note.
