Head or tail, I see masses losing in this power tussle. If this bad precedence is not curtailed most of buhari's ministers will find it very difficult to pass thru the senate. Cetris paribus, masses will get the hit |

frankyychiji:u are wrong, PMB don't need d senate, when d masses are with him? That was d reason gej fail, u can't pls 56 senators at d expense of d masses |

| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by emmasege: 8:46am On Jul 13, 2015 |
You ain't seen anything yet. You were busy accommodating every Tom Dick & Harry into ur party without a check on their character, just because you had a common enemy in GEJ. E ma fi se ibinu rara, that's who Bukky is. He's power drunk and may even 'overexercise' his power while PMB 'underexercise' his. May I remind you that there's one more person in your boat who can singlehandedly wreck you, except you carefully handle him?. He carries more dangerous venom than Bukky. Rotimi, I hail o! |

double0seven:thank you brother cos this was what Tinubu foresee. baba should not have allowed saraki impunity to stand. now it has backfires.....i always knew it will backfire. ![]() i pray saraki should draw the first blood and later get hit awesomely. ![]() well this is good for democracy. moment when you know u can afford to make a mistake. it might be end of you political career. ![]() |

what do you expect when you have a bunch of greedy and confused individuals presiding over you? come to think of it, if the ruling party can not exercise control over it's 20 erring senators, how can they fix the bulk problems of our country? Honestly, it will take the grace of God for us to witness any meaningful impact of this government. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by cabaliciouscabal: 8:54am On Jul 13, 2015 |
Mere commissioner, Ordinary senate president, which is more insulting, law of karma. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by Mogidi(op): 8:57am On Jul 13, 2015 |
disloman:The job of presiding over a country as complex as Nigeria is beyond Buhari's skill-set. So the solution as you requested is simple, impeach Buhari before he rips Nigeria to shreds. |

| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by CSTR2: 9:01am On Jul 13, 2015 |
PassingShot:A party with enough ELECTED members and experience to indirectly run the senate will not win the presidency again? Or you think the temporary setback the PDP is facing will stop them? The APC itself is collapsing on itself. By 2019 , kowa may even be the only direct competition to PDP. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by CSTR2: 9:02am On Jul 13, 2015 |
cabaliciouscabal:There is nothing like karma here. It is the handwork of buhari which he would definitely pay for. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by PassingShot(m): 9:07am On Jul 13, 2015 |
CSTR2:For any sane being to think that Nigerians will allow a party that practically ruined sixteen years of their nation's life will be allowed back into the presidency is self delusion. PDP may continue to rule in the SS/SE region but NOT in the NE/NW/NC and SW. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by omojeesu(m): 9:18am On Jul 13, 2015 |
Why don't we let the sleeping dog lie and move on with governance for progress and development. We can't afford all this muscle flexing. There is too much work to do and not enough time! |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by softwareman(m): 9:19am On Jul 13, 2015 |
double0seven:The problem SARAKI will have is how can you work for the RULING party and the opposition at the same time. He owes his victory to the PDP,. He NEEDS PDP TO HOLD ON TO POWER. PDP WILL DO EVERYTGING TO UNDERMINE APC AND BUHARI TO REGAIN POWER. IN THE ENSUEING BATTLES TO COME, WHERE WILL SARAKI STAND? THE PATHETIC TRUTH IS THAT SARAKI, OUT OF AMBITION HAS UNWITTINGLY ENSLAVED HIMSELF TO PDP. THEY WILL USE HIM AND CO-CONSPIRATORS FOR THEIR AGENDA AND DUMP HIM. THEY TOO DO NOT TRUST HIM. In a nutshell, SARAKI has destroyed himself politically. People should notice how SARAKI supporters on this forum are MOSTLY PDP SUPPORTERS. IT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by CSTR2: 9:19am On Jul 13, 2015 |
PassingShot:Keep deluding yourself. PDP still has a very strong followership in the NW/NC/NE. The buhari craze which is responsible for the temporary setback will fade away before 2019. The APC itself is obviously not sagacious enough to leverage on it now given what is already playing out. Infact most of the former PDP people who helped APC gain those northern strongholds will likely port back to the PDP. I don't know about the SW though as the politics there don't interest me as it is more or less a politics of herd mentality. The initial part of your post is your opinion which i wouldn't want to waste my time countering. |

PassingShot:I call it delusion of GRANDEUR! BUT THEN WHAT KIND OF POLITICAL DIMWITS WILL START PREDICTING THE POLITICAL LIFE OF AN ADMINISTRATION LESS THAN 100 DAYS INTO HIS TENURE.? |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by CSTR2: 9:29am On Jul 13, 2015 |
Buhari will need saraki to confirm his ministers and push his agenda and policies through. And that is where saraki will teach him a lesson in politics. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by PassingShot(m): 9:30am On Jul 13, 2015 |
CSTR2:And for you to think that APC will not overcome their initial teething problems is ludicrous. Perhaps you were too young to remember the numerous of such challenges PDP passed through between 1999 and 2003/2004. Jubilate not! What APC is passing through now is normal; it's the same thing PDP went through when they produced three senate presidents in less than two years. PDP's Senate Presidents Evan Enwerem 1999 Chuba Okadigbo 1999–2000 Anyim Pius Anyim 2000–2003 Adolphus Wabara 2003–2005 Ken Nnamani 2005–2007 David Mark 2007-2015 Note that PDP didn't stabilize the Senate until 2007 with David Mark. |

| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by softwareman(m): 9:32am On Jul 13, 2015 |
CSTR2:PDP has strong following in NW and NE? YOU DON'T GET IT. PDP IS DEAD IN THE NORTH AND WILL SOON DIE COMPLETELY IN THE SW. In the last election, the two PDP governors that did not defect made no impact in the outcome of the election. PDP is now essentially an IGBO party, as more and more states in the south south will soon start porting to APC. Please bookmark this and let us discuss after the coming KOGI AND BAYELSA THIS COMING DECEMBER. APC WILL WIN KOGI HANDs DOWN WHILE BAYELSA WILL BE VERY CLOSE. |

| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by gsalvatore: 9:41am On Jul 13, 2015 |
See as this idiots dey drag the tiers of government to mock and sh1t. That Senator Marafar guy is a big fool. He is not even ashamed of what he is saying. Being blinded by sentiments. The Perm Sec is talking bullshit, the Senate president /house has the right to summon her. Nobody knows how this country is being runned and people deserve to know. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by CSTR2: 9:46am On Jul 13, 2015 |
PassingShot:Pdp didn't have a credible opposition to capitalize on their political instability then. APC does not have that luxury. PDP will run the APC ragged and seize every inch of ground the APC loses in their own stupiditty. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by PassingShot(m): 9:48am On Jul 13, 2015 |

CSTR2:Like okadigbo was able to teach OBASANJO lesson in politics? The political naivety of you people sometimes amaze me. SARAKI support base will soon start crumbling the moment he starts taking on the presidency. You are also deluding yourself that SARAKI will be able to hold together the tenuous alliance that brought him to power. Just wait and see what is going to transpire in the coming weeks and months The problem with you mostly PDP SARAKI supporters is that you fail to see beyond PDP interest in the developing scenario. APC ALREADY HAVE A COUNTER STRATEGY AND I CAN TELL YOU FOR FREE THAT SARAKI WILL EVENTUALLY BE DESTROYED BY HIS PDP MASTERS. |
