softwareman:Comparing the political realities of then and now shows how naive you are. Okadigbo and OBJ were in the same party and OBJ himself is a far intelligent politician than buhari. PDP the behemoth is now the opposition!!!. Right or wrong, they will support saraki to the end for obvious reasons if anything atleast to fustrate the buhari administration thereby making their 2019 return to power easier. This should be obvious to any layman out there not affected with the ostrich syndrome. |

Because of insults and callousness, many good political analysists in the mode of Barcanista and Eziachi have started to abandon NAIRALAND for a better sane and decent forum, leaving NAIRALAND for shallow minded strollers. Imagine the shallowness of all the posts in this good thread. Many posters analyse politics based on personal feelings. The day Bacarnista would leave NAIRALAND will mean ......... |

AshiwajuFoward:And the only reason you are backing whomever you are backing is because you don't believe in the independence of the senate . |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by AshiwajuFoward: 10:20am On Jul 13, 2015 |
frankyychiji:LMAO! Look who's talking about "independence of the senate". When the last administration's ministers and HODs were shunning the senate's invitations, una no remember "independence of the senate" then, rather your ilk read tribal and ethnic meanings into it. Na una sabi. http://www.punchng.com/news/fuel-scarcity-okonjo-iweala-allison-madueke-shun-senate-summons/ |

No dull moment in 9ja, this CHANGE movie would be very interesting, if they are not fighting themselves they are acting as opposition and fighting PDP. ![]() |

Truly people are bound to make mistakes but is always good to learn from the mistakes so that it those not repeat itself,APC as a party is passing through his trying period but they will come out better and strong but a word of advice for those of us that want to learn we must always look before we leap not leap before we look.Tinubu as an experience and chieftain of the Party try to guide then but they mistook it for another thing then now that they have realized this as a party the battle is won, with the caliber of people that are at the helm of affairs in APC their is no cause for alarm because most of them are lawyer S.A.N to be precise so they don't need anybody to interpret the law for them so traitors get ready |

dearpreye:It is still better than giving a new definition to CORRUPTION my good friend. That cankerworm that GEJ met and nurtured is the major impediment to the growth and development of any nation. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by Nobody: 12:56pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
philips70:Hahha. The APC promised heaven during the campaign. So far it's being within its fold- a shameful departure from the promises of utopia. |

dearpreye:The people who believed and gave them votes based on those promises are still very hopeful and know the president is on the right path. Those who never believed can queue up at Otuoke for GEJ to give them their share of the transformation loot. |

dearpreye:so what are you saying? we should have continued with GEJ? why are you people so blinded by bigotry and ethnicism? even as it is now, though corruption has not been vanquished, but the tide of corruption has already been stemmed. A lot of things are already different. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by Nobody: 1:22pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
philips70:Bro, it's no more about GEJ, but PMB. And it's not about whether or not one voted him. He's the president of the nation. Maybe we're in two different nations. For now, it's all confusion. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by philips70(m): 1:35pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
dearpreye:These things are not unexpected. Within a short time everything will stabilize. My hope is in the leadership Buhari will inspire. It matters a great deal. But know politicians will be politicians PDP or APC. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by Nobody: 1:40pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
philips70:Thank goodness you know. So far the signs emanating from within the APC is ominous, and if not well handled, their implosion may be nearer than you believe. I've never taken a Nigerian politician seriously. |
| Re: Senate On A Collision Course With Buhari by philips70(m): 2:01pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
dearpreye:My belief and take on politicians is well stamped on my signature here for ages. And am happy the only one I have some hope on is still kind of deviating from politics of as usual. The difference here is I don't pray they implode like most of you do. They hold the destiny of this country for the next 4 years and only a mad man will pray for them to fail just to prove a point. If you minus 4 years from your life you know what that means. The PDP as a party was given 16 good years to show what they have and you can accept they actually showed they are only interested in their pockets. |

AshiwajuFoward:If you are going to be doing it the Pdp way, where is the change you promised? There is no change, only a scam! |

Gradually and steadily we are getting there. SP Saraki and PMP have been hiding their differences using Tinubu as their common shield. My advice for SP Saraki is "when pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom" HB. My advice for PMP is "power is not necessarily used positively to achieve good ends unusual situations call for usual actions" Ghandi12 |
