I'm so pissed lately with the hatred shown by some Nigerians, some nairalanders especially, at President Buhari!
The fact is, Buhari is our president for the next four years, and there's nothing anybody can do to that!

Okay, you don't like him ba? Why? Cos he wasn't the candidate of your choice. And does that mean over twelve million voters that voted him in are fools? That your candidate didn't emerge the winner does not change anything! What it means is that you accept fate and face the future!

Okay, you don't like Buhari cos of what he had said years back or what he did some years ago. You tell me you've never wronged anyone! Or you tell me you never insulted or said what you were not supposed to say!

This is exactly why Nigeria is on standstill, killings here and there, economy this and that! We are moving nowhere and we shout Buhari this, Buhari that, as if he's Jesus that will just do everything gbam!
We are just like the Biblical Israelites that gave Moses a tough time! When we hate the leader, I wonder where the followers will go, and I wonder what their end will be! Well, maybe its cos I'm not current enough, I've never heard or seen cases where citizens yab their leaders like we do in Nigeria!

I am no fan of Buhari, I'm just a fan of my President. It pains me when i see or hear people fault him and call him names cos of this or that. Yes, we did call Mr Jonathan names, but if I'm right, that was towards election period when people saw he was not making sense. Let's be honest, Jonathan started as a President peacefully! There were no chastisement as much as Buhari is getting now!

Buhari is our president, and as loyal and good citizens of this country, let's accept him as he is and show him some encouragement. One thing I learnt from Buhari since he became president is that, he's a principled man. He doesn't care what people say, he'll do what he wants to do!

So tell me, why kill yourself on top person wey no sabi say person wan die on top him matter?

Buhari's case is just like football, whether you scream or shout or die or get sick, or place bet, he doesn't care about you! Not that he does care sha, perhaps if he had known some people are somewhere crucifying him, he would have shown care small.

In short, please, let's forget the past and face the future! Let's show love, unite, encourage and correct ourselves in love. Ask yourself, what have you done for your country? Nigerians are becoming chief judge, winning awards abroad and you are there screaming "Nigerians are good. Those people are from my country" when you can do something for our dear country too!

Whether you like it or yes, Buhari knows Nigerians are over 160 million, but he doesn't know you are there!
Think!

hypocrite. who are u to tell someone who to love? when the conspiracy to oust former President was gathering momentum with slanderous article targeted to rubbish his person, did u preach this nonsens? we know he will be there for four years, but it doesn't make any different. if Mugabe will rule more than thirty years, what is four years? if Gaddafi ruled more than 25yrs, what is 4/8 yes? so keep quiet.

I'm sure you didn't read the whole write up. If you did, you won't refer to the former president again.
@the bolded, it does make a difference! And what is it? The guy you liked is not there, and this man will be an instrument of change in Nigeria by His grace and insha Allah!

This is the dumbest and most idiotic stance being sold to us the populace by the inexperienced APC spin doctors. This is equivalent to boarding a bus driven by a drunk. Everywhere in the world, it is the job of the populace to question the government on any and every issue. This is not a monarchy neither is it the DPK. We can't just cede our collective independence to anyone. In the US, Obama is heavily criticized by the Republican party and its members. No one there says its a crime or immoral. Prior to the recent elections in the UK, Cameron was overtly criticized in all his policies. He didn't blacklist his opponents. In fact it made him realise how much he needed to situp. Immediately after the results were announced he made his stance known on the direction of the UK in respect to the issue of the European union. He stated that a referendum would be conducted in two years time to decide that .The fact is that in any democratic society it is very important for the e people to be vocal on issues involving the government. If you want to be told what to do and what your thinking done for you by the BIG BROTHER, then i advice you board a flight headed for the DPK and salute Kim jong-un

You're the definition of everything wrong in Nigeria today. Whereby we have docile citizens who swallow whatever is thrown at them...

You're very myopic to have equated criticism of buhari's inefficiency in government to hatred for buhari...

If you can't cope reading the criticisms, kindly smash your phone or laptop on the ground...it will surely remain silent and save you from further heartache...

If buhari feels the heat is unbearable...there's the option of resignation for him to use...

Can you show me where you opened similar thread while Jonathan was been whitewashed or you just woke up?...

If anybody aren't ready for public scrutiny as this, then no need contesting public office....

Op, you shouldn't have wasted your time writing this message. Children of hate will keep coming to insult you. Just support your president the best way you can, and let haters keep hating. At the end of the day, we shall see who comes out on top.

If you can't take the heat please get the heck out of the kitchen! There's a reason Presidents age visibly within the span of 4/8 yrs tenure...they have a lot to face from decisions to criticisms to saboteurs and so on. GMB is President and it comes as a package deal. Op, u said he knows there are over 160 Million Nigerians but he doesn't know the individuals so I don't know why you are drinking panadol on the matter. He may not know them but they know him as an individual. He is exercising a mandate handed to him by a supposed majority and without even the added headache of post-election petitions like he gave past governments each time he lost at the polls. They have a right to call him out on whatever they feel he is not doing right! He starts enjoying all privileges as President of the FRN from day one so he must also deal with the responsibilities and heckling that come with it. He doesn't have the luxury to pick and choose so don't attempt to appoint yourself his mouthpiece cos like you said, he doesn't know you either and it's none of your business!

Where were you when some Nigerians where dancing to any mistake of GEJ & the killings of Boko harm?

Its obvious APC don't like being criticised.

If you don't criticise him how will he know the change he promised has not being felt.

@OP:

Don't stress yourself...... Most of those you speak to have no cogent reason and thus are not amenable to reason

Anyway, Jonathan started out the most popular president ever, voted for by ALL the peoples and tribes of Nigeria (the Hausa/Fulani governors and power blocks preferred him to Gen Buhari) but his actions made him a butt of jokes and the most despised president ever.

Buhari has started out hated because of his background and as "vengeance" but it is his actions going forward that will determine what we will call him at the end.

Its in HIS hands, not in appeals to senseless people or to a decency that they do not possess

Some people are too funny.
Nigeria will not progress until Nigerians want to progress.
When we begin to think like people who want to progress, progress will come.
It is clear that we are not getting there anytime soon so 'enjoy' the ride until we get there.
