Sources conversant with the goings on within the Nigeria/USA diplomatic circles indicate that the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is certain to embark on more arrests of officials of the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

The information indicates that a list had been prepared by the Buhari kitchen cabinet of the top officials to be arrested and investigated for mind-boggling corruption. The list was drafted prior to President Buhari trip to the United State of America.

Specifically, President Buhari is set to trigger a deluge of arrests of high profile officials.

The arrest is to come immediately following his return from US. The President had delayed the arrests in order to seek a concrete nod from President Obama over supposed “untouchables” contained in the list. Among the untouchables mentioned in the list include officials within the security ranks and officials within finance management and petroleum resources management.

A source indicates that the Obama administration had given President Buhari an earlier go ahead – prior to the current visit. The current leg of visit has netted a second go ahead nob to proceed with the arrests – while promising USA’s support – in providing the necessary resources to track the corrupt money trail.

“Obama folks promised they will not interfere” or stop the arrest of Nigeria’s ‘sacred cows’.

Thus the presidency has opted to embark on mass arrests – the kind never witnessed in Nigeria’s democratic experience before. With outside support, Buhari appears determined and resolved.

Unverified but credible information indicates that the former Minister of Defense in the person of Aliyu Gusau and the former Minister of Finance in the person of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala are next on the line of fire for the Buhari presidency.

“Oshiomole’s recent public attacks on madam Ngozi is not coincidence” said the source.

There is no pleasing you guys, is there? undecided

People raped our economy and sucked it dry like vampires and the new government is trying to get as much as they can from the thieves. I think we should support them and stop looking for faults here and there.

We praise china today of how fast their economy is growing and they still boast of very low level of corruption. The reason for this is simply because the country has zero tolerance for corruption. So this is a step in the right direction. even if all the stolen monies will not be recovered the new administration must send a sound warning that it is no longer business as usual in Nigeria if we must move forward.

So let us stop criticizing like children and give the government the support it needs to restore the pride of Nigeria.

How can u say he is not guilty when he has not bn charged to court? How can u say he is not guilty when they are still on the matter and he has refused to talk? Until after all is done b4 u can say he is guilty or not. There was an allegation, and after the allegation, he must be interrogated/questioned b4 they take him to court, to prove the allegation or otherwise. He is still bn interrogated/questioned. You don't know nada! You jst come here to spew nonsense. Smh

Do we just make arrest for the sake of humiliating people to score cheap scores or because the people have cases to answer. Please, can someone tell me the process as in our constitution. I can no longer understand why we have to go to the pages of news papers to judge one guilty without investigations. We announce to the world the people we want to arrest this and that person. This is cheap blackmail and propaganda.
