The daughter of former President Umaru Yar’ Adua and wife of former Kebbi State Governor, Saidu Dakingari, Zaina Dakingari, has been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged fraud to the tune of N2billion perpetrated during her husband’s tenure as governor of the Northwest State.
Also invited for questioning for alleged money laundering is Toyin Saraki, wife of the Senate President and former governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki.
Mrs Saraki, a source at the anti-graft agency disclosed, is wanted in relation to questionable inflow of funds into companies where she has interest. She is expected to report at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja on July 28, 2015; where a crack team of investigators have already been assembled to grill her.
Mrs. Dakingari on the other hand was initially expected to report for questioning at the EFCC headquarters today. However, Premium Times gathered that the former Kebbi first lady sent words that she was away to Saudi for Umrah (lesser hajj), and pleaded to be allowed to report on ‎ July 27, 2015.
She is expected to explain to operatives of the anti-graft agency the source of the steady stream of huge cash into her companies, while she held sway as ‘first lady’ of Kebbi State.
Contacted for comments, EFCC spokesp‎erson, Wilson Uwujaren, said, “I’m aware that a new set of suspects w‎ere recently invited,” Mr. Uwujaren said. “It’s not impossible the two women are among them.”

.I have absolute confidence in the resolve of PMB to fight corruption genuinely, but i dey fear for the man safety o.I urge pmb to declare amnesty for all looters in the country. Let him tell them to return 60% of the stolen money back and use 30% to set up business ventures/industries that will employ people, why we allow the looters carry 10% go.Harlibuton scandal alone is enough for pmb to start watching his back.PMB does not have the support from majority of Nigerians from the SS and SE, and will affect him. since Nigerians are not united behind pmb in his resolve to recover looted funds,i sincerely fear for his life.

Their enemies should stop incriminating themselves with crime.

It would be wise for the EFCC to also investigate some of judges who gave very strange judgements in the past. If the Judiciary is not cleaned up, then all these other investigations are simply a waste of time as most of the accused will simply be discharged and acquitted when the case gets to court.

Lawyers and corrupt judges are going to make tons of money on this dispensation, at the end of the day, Nigeria is going to be the loser for it. EFCC does not have the capacity to conduct these massive number of investigation diligently, the gaping holes in the hurriedly assembled evidences would be exploited by the accused to escape justice. We've seen enough of their gaffes in the last 16yrs to be wary of this latest deceptively contrived dynamism

The day PMB's EFCC goes after the Looter General of the south west (thief nubu) is when he starts his anti-corruption crusade. And how about those state governors who looted their state treasuries in the name of sponsoring PMB's presidential bid?, e.g. the prodigal governor of osun state.

May God give this man the wisdom to deal with all these corrupt politicians,i still don't know how he plans to nail Danjuma that rented his Abuja house for him and Tinubu that played a major role for his emergence,but I don't think Danjuma stole money,he only collected the oil bloc he was given and there is nothing wrong with that
