Anti-corruption War: What Do Nigerians Really Want? by midolian(m): 10:22am On Jul 26, 2015 |
Every Nigerian agrees that corruption is a cog in Nigeria’s wheel of development and want President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle the scourge head on. But most Nigerians seem divided on where the anti-corruption war should begin. Michael Oche writes on the uneasiness breeded by Buhari’s anti-graft battle. http://leadership.ng/features/449549/anti-corruption-war-what-do-nigerians-really-want Cc: Lalasticlala, obinoscopy 2 Likes 1 Share |

As usual, The online wailing wailers Will avoid this thread. When you talk about fighting corruption, you don't need to spear anyone even your blood, if only you are sincere. As for those shouting about Tinubu, Atiku, Obj, Ameachi, Danjuma etc, all you need to do is to send your petition to the EFCC. Don't come and scream witch hurt or my brother if anybody is found wanting. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

midolian: Leech, if you had an I.Q one-seventh the size of a proton, you'd be rational enough to realize that those being probed are seemingly those who are from or who are sympathetic to the cause of the arch-rival political party which is the PDP. Purely incidental or schemed? How come close associates of PMB like Fayemi who spent #50 million on a single bed or Timipre Silva who also funded PMB's election campaigns aren't being probed? Purely (co-)incidental or schemed? Keep mastùrbating to the delusion of your foolhardiness. Happy Sunday by the way. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Don't forget to ask ya pastor for the favour of delivering u b4 leaving church. Y'all keep wailing that some in the progressive team are still moving free. Nigerians want a lawless country. To hell with anyone who dares to investigate any allegation or prosecute any crime. That is the only habitat they know, and many have thrived because of corruption. Watch as they criticise any government that tries to fight corruption. Listen to them implore that criminals should not be humiliated. Marvel at how they opine that the new government should focus on its own agenda and pretend like crimes have not been committed that require a generous dispensation of justice. Finally, pity their idiocy when they lament that their country is a shit-hole when compared to saner societies. Nigerians should be left alone, close the borders and let them suffer till they learn to evolve as sane society. 5 Likes 1 Share |

The problem with some Nigerians mostly online e- trolls, is that they got no sense. Imagine someone stole billions of naira, send his children to school in foreign land and you who school in public school with incite strike all through your academic year will defend such a person. This report is filled with hypocrisy. I am not surprised because this medium (Leadership) is owned by APC Chieftain and Buhari Campaigner for the 2011 and 2015 Presidential Elections. Let's see... Few days after President Muhammadu Buhari declared his intention to probe alleged illegally withdrawn of $2.1b from the Excess Crude Account (ECA), a group known as Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative (IPDI) described the president’s decision to probe the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan as a blackmail and witch-hunt.There was nothing "illegal" in the $2.1b ECA. In fact, I challenge anyone to state which law was broken. However, it is a fact that the former Minister made the withdrawal knwon even before it was effected. We are not saying that Buhari shouldn't "probe", what we are saying that he shouldn't do it hypocritically with the sole aim of pronouncing someone guilty even before unearthing facts. Just like what Oshiomole was doing. Also, few days after agents from the Department of State Services (DSS) raided the home of former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, on allegations of money laundering and treason, supporters of the former NSA described the action of president Buhari as being vindictive against the former NSA because he was the one who led solders to arrest him in 1985Allegation of money laundering? This is funny... Not even the DSS made such allegation! We however, want to see the foreign accounts that the money was laundered or the bank that helped in laundering the money. This is plainly absurd. As for the rubbish allegation of treason, the so-called "incriminating evidence" by the DSs are all jokes. What is stopping them from filing a suit in court? Buhari is yet to convince Nigerians of any offence by Sambo. People must be brought to book, irrespective of their political, religious or ethnic affiliation”We all agree with this. In fact, I encourage Buhari to start by revisiting Sanusi's indictment by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria. He also need to bring Obj to book for Power scam and PTDF, Atiku (PTDF), Saraki (Societe Bank), Haliburton guys, the Abachas, NNPC thieves etc. “I think in the fight against corruption, cannot be selective. It will be a disaster for him and the good will he enjoys both locally and internationally. The fight against corruption must be total. As stated above... “We have seen some APC members arraigned. Even some people who don’t belong to any political party have been arraigned. He should go ahead and ensure that those who have looted this country are brought to book to serve as deterrent to others.Which APC members? Nyako was indicted under GEJ, Saraki's wife is being haunted for political reasons (I care not about the Sarakis). When will he pursue the case against Sylva, Amaechi, Atiku, Obasanjo, Tinubu etc? 4 Likes |

IdisuleOurOwn: You still don't get it, do you? According to you, GEJ is guilty of siphoning funds. Premised on that, I inquired about the evidence which lends credence to your assertion that he stole from the country and here you are with a retort about sentimentality. It's ON RECORD that Fayemi spent #50 million on a single bed which makes him guilty of corruption. I deal with facts which are rational enough not hearsay like you. 4 Likes |

What do u hav to say about those in the APC that were arraigned by the EFCC? And if you think Buhari influences the court judgements, then you are more dumb than I think.
