Some senators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the North who were among the 81 senators that passed a vote of confidence on Senator Bukola Saraki -led Senate leadership have denied working against the interest of President Muhammadu Buhari. The senators made the denial yesterday during a press briefing with senate correspondents in Abuja. A national daily (not LEADERSHIP) yesterday published a report that 22 northern senators who endorsed Saraki were working against the interest of Buhari. But the lawmakers who spoke through the Chairman, Senate ad-hoc committee on Media and Publicity, Senator Dino Melaye (APC Kogi West), faulted the media report, claiming that the originators of the report were the real enemies of Buhari. http://leadership.ng/news/450748/we-are-solidly-behind-pmb-pro-saraki-senators |
