Thunder firr Michael Emenalo (Yes, I blame him given his antecedence as regards central midfield purchases). The team is dying for a central midfielder to make us even halfway competitive in Europe, all we are hearing is £30m for John Stones. Nonsense. Will John Stones secure Chelsea a single extra point than we got last season? No! Will John Stones take Chelsea further in the Champions league? No! Did John Stones take England Under-21s past the group stage of the Euro Under-21 tourney this summer? No! FFS, JOHN STONES WAS NOT EVEN A GUARANTEED REGULAR FOR EVERTON LAST SEASON! And he's competing against Antonin Alcaraz!!! Jose clearly said at start of summer - I need a defender, midfielder and sttiker. You've given him Falcao and now chasing the defender (Stone) but veto any moves for a midfielder - all because of your pets Mikel and Ramires - same old story Emenalo hasbeen fighting managers to block them signing midfielders for the last 4 years. Thunder fire Emenalo. |

IVANOVIC ON TOMMORROWS GAME: ‘The game won’t decide anything in terms of the season itself but it is important to win because it's at the start of the season and can provide a psychological moment for the rest of the year. It is good to start with a trophy. Of course we are not in our top form, they won't be either. This is normal. ‘But it will be an interesting game for sure because both teams want to win. We will give more than the maximum in this match.’ SPEAKING ON MOURINHO LONG TERM WIN AGAINST WENGER: ‘Statistics can change and you have to approach every game against an opponent where you have a record like this as you did the first and the last one,’ the Serbian said. ‘That is why we have this success against Arsenal over all the years. But this is a different match. Every time we play it is a different story, with different players and a different approach. This is the Community Shield, a game for a trophy, it's a one-off match and I hope we will continue that record. |

airmark:Axel Witsel for example would have taken us past PSG easily. See the way our midfield was so timid to cross halfway line when we had the man advantage, simply to protrct the weakness in our centre, meanwhile Thiago Motta and Verratti were running the game with confidence. Lack of midfield was the main reason for not getting past PSG |

Ibime:Agreed on the fact our midfield was blunt, but our strikers were not in form too. Hazard was successfully overcrowded. The only thing costa did throughout the match was when he wriggled through psg defence in the first half and fell on cavani's challenge. After that, he was quiet all-through. In the past Chelsea could sit at the back and still sting you on attack. In fact in the build-up to our first goal, costa first had the chance to hit the goal but missed it, only for cahill to do justice to it. Imediately psg was one man down, assuming we had another in-form striker, mou would have made that tactical change of adding to the attacking line and force blanc to go defensive. Drogba was a shadow of his old self. What happens when you have a tired middle and non-functional attack? Definitely psg took over proceedings. Meanwhile, Axel witsel is a good mover of the ball I like him. |
