Frm what Hv read so far, I think d oba is dead Bt d pronouncement will b after 3mnths after which all d traditional rites must have bn performed and d Oba must have put to rest. Nobody should Hv heard anything if it were to b olden days Bt due to civilization and improvement in social communication dt is wat led to all this speculations...that's d issue in Yoruba tradition....just watch out for 3 months

This story is more confusing. If the king is still alive, then I think his recent picture should have said it all. I hope this is true sha
What is confusing in this? Very Simple. RIP Sijuade. Money can not buy death afterall.

Even if there is one reason for the death to be concealed, this is absolutely the main reason.the groom has to wed with the presence of the staff as a prince or the bride wants all D royal rites paid to her for marrying a prince.
Not everyone even if you have royal ties is entitled to such respect.
He is the only prince represented with such title as the father was present in others.
Vanity upon vanity all is vanity
These I've learnt from the goodnews and expeerience in reality,
Just a slim line for the prince that wedded as a king to be wedded as an ex prnce,is there any much royalties paid to an ex prince?
Life is vanity fyn prince
Erm....from what I heard of Yoruba culture and most indigenous cultures in Africa, there is nothing like ex-prince, oh! shocked
Once a prince, always a prince. "Prince" means you are the son of a king, or that your father once ruled a town, village or city. Even if that father is long dead! wink

I have seen the staff of office at burials of royal princes and princess who died at an old age but hailed from a royal household, even though their parents were long dead. undecided

The traditional wedding ceremony between one of Ooni of Ife’s sons, Prince Adegbite Sijuade and media personality Dolapo Oni took place earlier today at Landmark Event centre in Victoria Island, but as guessed the monarch himself was absent. Though there are conflicting reports about if the monarch was still alive or not, but nothing was said about him at the traditional marriage.

What however was visible was the staff of office of the monarch which represented him all through the event. The man that held the staff also stood all through next to the prince and his bride. It was a celebrity studded party as people from all works of life attended.

I remember when the Oni's sister died around 2002, the opa ashe was brought to honor her. The man wanted to stand on the podium with the opa ashe while the burial talk was going on. We had to tell him to go and sit and hold the staff there.

they are all born again for now.

so the only search engine they're using at the moment is google.

as soon as the coast is clear, they'll be back.
