So people who are appointed on merit are not corrupt right? If you are corrupt, you are corrupt. Doesn't matter whether you merit the post or not. That doesn't mean merit should not be the yardstick in making appointments. |

He hit the nail on the head. Every time we hear the government has instituted a campaign to eradicate corruption, we sooner than expected notice the government is treating the characteristics and effects of corruption but sidestepping the causes of corruption. The most important aspect of proferring solutions is the definition of the problem. Without these then you wouldn't know what the problem dictates in its entirety. I am sorry to say this, but the current administration has once more made the same mistake and surely will arrive at the same outcome |
