Your application will fly . Search for my previous posts on this forum which detailed steps to take that will leadd to PR. You will definitely write CDR for your assessment with Engineers Australia. The 7.5band IELTS is it in each of the components? What is your age? Age=?, Edu=15points, Expe=0points, IELTS(7,7,7,7)=10points, confirm that.
Thank you so much. I am 31years old with IELTS of 7.5 in each components.

Thanks oh. I already went through it but the process is not clear cut. I'm a bit unsure as to whether they require me to submit a paper application or not. I even sent them a mail and all they replied with was a check list.
If you're applying from Nigeria, it's a paper application. So use the check list and see all you need to take to the teleperformance office closest to you.

PFL takes 80k for admissions processing but you can negotiate. Visa Application charges are determined by your type of application and how many applicants. You can find information for that on border.gov.au or au.tlscontact.com.
Enjoy!

Great! the breakdown of your points as follow: Age-30,Edu-15,IELTS-10=55points +5points(State nomination)=60points. You are eligible for visa 190. All you need to do now which is the most critical one is your assessment with Engineers Australia. You will need to write CDR. check their website for information regarding that.

If uve already checked SOL and/or CSOL n ur occupation is there then the next thing is to get ur qualification assessed by ur assessing body which is the one beside ur nominated occupation on the list. When u know ur assessing body visit their website for more details.
Once u get ur positive assessment the next thing will be to apply for ur visa but get assessed first n then u take it up from there.

Dear all,

I'm new to the thread. I had read some post and follow up some answers, but non of them is specific to my need. I'm already 30, without a tertiary education degree. Can I secure a student visa to Australia for undergraduate program. Do I stand a chance or it is already to late for me?
Still have the strong urge to study and I have saved up some funds to sponsor myself. Suggestions will be appreciated.

Please, do you know if one can claim points from job experience gotten before the highest evaluated degree?

For example, one got his Masters in 2014, but had about 5 years job experience before that time, will those 5 years prior to the Masters count?
Thank you.

Of course you can can, you just need to write a good SOP giving good reason why you have the education gap...

Naa.. You can only claim work experience you got after your highest qualifications. But you can claim the point if you assess your B.sc as your highest qualification.

Hello house,
If you are applying for school in Australia and you want to apply for PR after studies, Pls chose school between South Australia, Tasmania and Northern Territory. That will give you extra 5 points for studying in regional/ low growth metropolitan areas. This states also give special exemption for students that graduated in their state when it comes to state nomination.

Sorry didn't see your message and a bit confused how the messaging works on nairaland. You can as well post it here, will respond.

Ballarat is fine only if your Uni or work is around that axis. If not, it i will take you like 2hrs 30mins or more to get to the CBD; its quite FAR.

Study the above links, it will help you make a decision.

This is really helpful bro. How about schools in Western Australia(Perth specifically)... After Postgraduate(masters), is it feasible to get PR easily?

Perth is not a regional or low growth metropolitan area so no 5 points. For Perth to nominate you for 190 or 489, you must have at least 1 year working experience and there is no exemptions for its graduates.

I don't think Victoria gives special treatment to their graduates so you have to apply like everyone else. .
