bankoleben:Sharrapp you fvcking Idiiot, can you point out the South African "mercenaries" Jonathan hired, which were the "game changer"? For the avoidance of doubt, there has been and still is no evidence that Nigeria hired "mercenaries" who "changed the game" for us. Colonel Eeben Barlow the chairman of sttep and a regular beegeagles blogger has refuted this ridiculous claim on many occasions. All missions were carried out primarily by the Nigerian Army, led by the Nigerian Army MSF. |

I think some people misunderstood president. we are all seeing pictures, are these weapons working effectively? I think the president, a general knows what he is saying when he said Nigeria air force is zero. who am I to say all these are weapons when a general said they are not, comparing with what should be on ground. |

ayd91:Agreed that we are not there yet, something must be done. It is high time we stop blame game in this country, it should be "WHATSOEVER THY HAND FIND TO DO, DO IT WITH ALL THY MIGHT" why would a government keep doing this "beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" |

These pictures 're indicting if this is all they want to show as procurement for all the money spent. The OP should be very careful. The state of the Nigerian Army and Nigeria Airforce is disgraceful. If the OP claims to know military affairs he would agree . All these pictures of twenty year old equipment actually indict the last administration more than any critic. Also it is instructive to remember that Dasuki and Badeh actually contradicted themselves, one said he was given enough money to buy weapons whilst the other said he was denied funds. All these also reinforce the negative view about Good luck Jonathan , a very incompetent commander in chief. |

If one AK 47 can stop terrorism, why do we need all the outdated hardware. It is not about who failed Nigeria but for us to come together and stop this madness called Book haram. |

engineerboat:I understand where you are coming from but I don't want my countrymen reading this and feeling secure when in fact they are not. All that's needed is a determined enemy and our lapses would be exposed. Nigeria must progress. When WW lll comes up we may not be given the privilege of being non-allined. We should live up to our name. NIGERIA. I OBJ and other passed leaders had invested in the military like GEJ did we wouldn't have this problem today. So before another regime has to be forced by a prevailing condition like a conventional war, let's be prepared now. I hope Buhari can deliver where necessary. #never_again #arm_up #go_east |

engineerboat:After modifying your post. Not honeymoon, the US has promised to help Nigeria, PMB has even said Nigeria is going to start it's own weapons production and this would have a lot of US influence. The final is GEJ failed, why wait till over 13,000 people die?! |

Nice post, but I really must say that most of those Pics aren't of Nigerian Army nor their artillery. Pics depicting Sophisticated weaponry aren't Nigerian especially d ones showing cargo airplane delivering weapons. Your boss shouldn't pay you in full cos you've been caught Tip: You should apply a bit of photoshopping to produce near-flawless pics AND edit or delete each image's EXIF to do away with their original links and details before uploading. (Frustrating and time consuming it sometimes seems, but it's necessary to complement a make believe story). |

if i havent gone blind I saw a fleet of alpha jets In one of the pictures and bokoharam is still having a field day. I mean with those fleet of jets we don't even need a ground force just point & kill with missiles. |

Op, at what cost did they acquire these outdated weapons? The 1st 4 pictures look like leased weapons because they are operated by foreigners by the look of things( if memory serves me correctly, mercenaries were hired and they left with their equipments on completion of their duty). From the look of things it was just a show of force exercise to give the impression that the army was well equipped and funded to curb the bk menace. I still do not understand the need to exonerate the immediate past administration of its shortcomings in the defence sector. |
| Re: Re: Equipping Of Nigeria Army And Airforce by Nobody: 6:32pm On Aug 07, 2015 |
That NSA Dasuki should be shot by a firing squad. with all the money expended for the procurement of hardware & the loan taken to buy military grade weapons it was these archaic weapons he could procure. Hell America can even wipe out bokoharam for us with the aircraft & artillery they have in their museums cos it would be more effective cos those weapons in their museums are more sophisticated than this piece of shit this Op posted and is making a lot of noise about. |

What pains me the most is the number of brave soldiers we have lost on the war front just to combat these infidels. when the soldiers were complaining and writing open letters to newspapers and blogs about the lack of necessary weapons & proper welfare to combat bokoharam what did Johnathan the commander in chief then do about these letters Nothing.Instead these soldiers were put on fake trials and sentenced to death for their God given rights. Its only some few weeks to the end of elections he ever remembered to visit the North and see how these soldiers are doing. Now who is decieving who and some blind idiots are still singing his praises to the high heavens. Nonsense. |

| Re: Re: Equipping Of Nigeria Army And Airforce by Nobody: 6:50pm On Aug 07, 2015 |
The reason why Obasanjo & Yaradua didn't send much cash on defence was because there really was no war to fight. Obasanjo had a war free tenure and the only problem the late president Musa Yaardua (may his soul rest in peace) was the Niger Delta militants of which he dealt with tactfully. Johnathan even had the guts to say "Bokoharam are our brothers" that's why we can't just wipe them like that. Imagine height of cluelessness. Now why would America and other countries have even helped him when his administration was stinking of pungent corruption. His Generals and Defense chiefs were feeding fat on defense budget and he did nothing to them. |

Nadheer15:And where were you when ihejirikA's clamp down on boko haram was being touted as an easterner's genocide against muslim northerners by buhari and the northern elders forum ? Where were you when buhari was going from radio station to newspaper houses alleging bias against the north in the handling of boko haram vis-a-vis not granting them amnesty and largesse like ND militants ? And yet, you blame GEJ for backing of and trying diplomacy until it became too late abi ?Abeg park well and receive deliverance from your hypocrisy |

@OP GEJ was president from 2011 to 2015, you're not even ashamed to claim that he only commenced the process of purchasing weapons in late 2014/early 2015 despite the armed forces taking a huge chunk of our budgets since 2011! You guys are even making this worse for yourself, it now seems like a corruption case, and not just plain incompetence. Trust Buhari to probe these crooks. |
