For anyone that is close to Alausa during Fashola's reign, will know that he is the most corrupt governor in Nigeria, but the reason while this is not known to the public is that any news concerning this is always dead on arrival on the media, this is for the discerning mind

Read this before you conclude:

I am not here to find Fashola innocent or guilty or hold a brief for him. I do not have the details of the contract so i would wait for a statement from Fashola before drawing my conclusions. Fashola is definitely not crazy to award a contract of 78 million for just a website upgrade. There could be more to it, let's give him some benefit of doubt

If you're knowledgable about websites, you'll know that a contract like this would involve much more than the website itself, like:

Development of custom school management software (ERP system)

Development of taxi service management system ( example Uber)

Development of other custom software management systems for the Fashola projects

If that's the case, then This is no biggie, it's worth the amount, but I am not holding brief for Fashola on this as I do not have details of the said contract award, when he releases a statement, I'll do my own personal assessment about it. We're in an Information Age though, his bad. But for now, I'll say innocent until proven guilty.
Kai my people even if so polithiefcian rob you in broaddat light una go still defend am.

Even guys at at silicon valley will not charge up to that amount to build any website in the mould of tundefashola.com.
You guys can defend just about anything.

Please give us a link to that website and make sure you are not talking about another government contract.
A website is different from a web application. I referred to a web application hosted on an intranet and yes it costed that much

The last paragraph of my post shows u I am not defending Fashola and I don't care about him

1naira for babatundefashola.com should come from his personal money or allowance not govt purse. That is a personal website.

You've spoken well.

While Fashola is someone I hold in esteem (comparatively), I think he sure has a lot of explaining to do on this. Of course, it's a possibility to spend that much (we've spent a few millions on a couple of sites we own too), but we need details like you rightly mentioned.

Personally, I would pefer those attacking you for your comment to point us in the right direction if they have such details.

For example, there were some allegations about cost of building some schools in Lagos by Fash, which I rightly screamed: fraud!

Twice u have mentioned 1bn as cost for Web apps. I'm sure part of the cost includes providing support, on going security and patches, upgrades etc etc. That Fashola website is just a simple cms that has been decorated. 78m for that Joomla site is over inflated
U are getting it wrong. What I said is that I have seen a web application cost that much.

Not defending www.babatundefashola.com because I careless about him.

Besides even if it is 500naira, why will u use public fund to build a personal website.

Just putting a context to an intellectual property and to educate u that yes a JOOMLS CMS can be sold for any amount.

Software is not cars that u can say all range cost xnaira.

Bros,

I gave up when I heard the official amount Lekki Ajah express way costed.

In fact I researched plenty beautiful and mor standard highways in the world and non of them in the same category came half close to Lekki-Ajah In terms of cost.

Reason despite my support for change at the centre, I was hoping the change will get to Lagos too but as usual PDP miscreants busted everything when they tried to divide Lagos along tribal line.

Only if 'they' will not listen to the noise af the market.
Everybody knows how workaholic and enviably sincere Uncle Fashola is, he might have stepped on 'big mouths' toes when He was busy transforming Lagos knowingly or unknowingly, so payback time now lol OR it might be foul cries af enemies of progress e.g P*P who are themselves the true gluttons.... this and whatever the else will come up is very expected, I expect it!
So, Baba Buhari, nobody manning a public office in whatever capacity can come out n say i'm 100 'saint', Even if he has intentions pure as crystal, their will always be a way subordinate(s) will 'sin' on his behalf.
Moreover anyway, this 78 milli ish still stands on one leg, very ' unstable n baseless' so please 'don't listen to the noise of the market.
I keep saying it, u guys represent hypocrisy, lies and propaganda, u guys hv 2faces, always ready to cover ur stinking mouth why shouting dat anoda personz mouth is oozing. Would u hv written ds nonsense n trash has it been d subject of d story is a PDP member? U guys disgust me.

That's the problem. Knowing how you rail against corrupt characters from other parts of the country on this board, I can't find any other reason why you are desperate to provide fashola and gang with some soft landing other than your well documented penchant for ethnic solidarity.. . Yet, true to type, you are the one accussing me of tribalism. .
Ok my reason for giving Fash the benefit of doubt is because I respect him as a governor, people have said he did very well so I would want him to prove himself on this before drawing conclusions, this is the same benefit of doubt I'll give both Peter Obi and Kwankwasor because their state residents gave them high reviews based on performance. This has nothing to do with tribe or political affiliation. I came to politics mainly to ensure the election of Buhari as a person and to ensure he gets full support to run this country as president. I do not like the PDP as a party and I worked hard for the rejection of GEJ as returning president because He failed. I am not a member of APC but I like the revolution going on in the party and in our country generally, I do not have a problem with any tribe or people in Nigeria, and I want the best for this country. That's where I stand politically.

You are already defending him, did he tell you he intend to use the money for the projects you listed above? Guy you can't mess with our intelligence, we are not as foolish as you think. The website looks more like a personal website of a politician and not some startup were you could invite bill gate to help build. People like you can as well defend Satan that he did not mean to kill Jesus even when there is an evidence he did.

Custom made ERP websites could cost as much as $3 million dollars or more. They are deployed in hospitals, schools and universities, government, oil companies, banks, multinationals, construction etc. A major Bank in Nigeria once paid N4 billion Naira to develop their website which runs an ERP software on it
