There was a time Blackberry was the thing! If you don't own a BB, you are as good a useless Later Android came along and stole the whole market! Everybody wanted an android like its the key to heaven Presently, android is not forsaken and some blackberries can still be found in the wild, iphone still has a reasonable share of the market but windows phone which people usually run from(like when android just started) is fast gaining market share, its like everybody is now buying a windows phone! left, right, most popular of them is a lumia 640xl to be specific colour green! I and my friends were talking about trends today, he said humans naturally like to follow trend and that's why people buy a selfie stick, not because its actually useful, then I said I as a person don't buy what's trending, I buy what I need, that If I buy what's trending I would had bought a windows phone! Immediately evrerybody in the room(including those not part of the discussion) agreed with me and all exclaimed "Ehn!!!" And that's how our topic drifted to the trend of windows phone now a days. Did you also notice the trend? Do you own a windows phone? Do you plan to buy one? I plan to buy one tho! Lumia 540 cc Lalasticlala |

If u ask me, among the four most popular mobile operating systems in the world, windows phone is the least, struggling to compete, android leads, follow by iOS, then, Blackberry 10 , I own android, Bb10,& Microsoft Lumia 535 gadjets, experience they say is the best teacher...Microsoft just acquired the "dying Nokia" last year, still learning, their first phone Microsoft Lumia 535 which i own was initially a flop with software issues, but later fixed 93%, so?... |

trishguy:If at the source it doesn't gain profits, then where will it? It's there where the Lumia is cheapest, it's there were the data bundles are reasonable, its there were Wifi is mostly free around areas. now come to Nigeria or any African country: - Any free wifi over long lengths? no, only in small spots if any at all. - Any Microsoft factory around? no, they ship their products in so double costs of purchasing. - Any cheap internet bundles available legally? no, unless your hacking those BIS tweaks. - Not to mension Americas internet speeds, it's almost double. 2G in America is same speed as 4G in Africa, so what about 4G? 1gbps(if ever you will ever see this in your lifetime in africa, please take a screen shot)? ![]() |

Annkorede: Youngpo413: princetom1: Collinz2:The funniest thing about my life is I'm always looked down On but end up right, in early 2012 blacberry was the phone, I told people android was far better and would take over! They laughed at me! Now I'm saying wp won't overthrone android or IOS but would be among them as people are gradually begining to accept them! And see what peeps are saying, I laugh cos when that's happens, even if its 5 years from now, but I predict just a year, by august 2016, this thread would be a testimony! |

| Re: The Rise Of Windows Phone (microsoft/nokia Lumia) by Borwe: 8:23am On Aug 20, 2015 |
Android main advantage over windows and iOS is it's openness. I am not talking about apps here but the actual OS. Apple on the other hand has no advantage over Microsoft. It's more closed source than windows phone. I see windows comming to take over apple market soon. IPhone is just cool cause it's expensive, nothing else |
