Hi guys, am.currently experiencing a heavy shift btw gears 1 - 2 in.my car. Changed d gear oil using the original Toyota Atf oil. But problem still.persists.
Pls advise.

Have you run a comprehensive scan on the car? What's the mileage of your car? Was the transmission filter changed as well? But first thing would be to run a scan on that baby if you need to run a free scan and fix the issue cal multi autolab on 08165520837 or 08156087872. Bb pin is 7BE1C522

@mayor2013...Thks for ur advise.i did a scan,only error noticed was 2nd cyclinder misfire.which has been.corrected.I guess have to chck d tranmission filter as proposed by you.

Did they as well run a scan on your transmission. You haven't still said what the mileage of your car is?

Mileage is 126,450

Am suspecting one or more of your engine mounts...Try to inspect all of them to check they are in good condition.

The complain is far above a bad engine mount. This is basically a transmission issue

Well if you say so. Scan did not reveal anything is wrong with your transmission. I had similar issue and taught it was a transmission problem..I spent a lot of money to fix the problem only to discover it was one of the engine mount after spending so much.

What do you mean by heavy shifts?

@kashif...a heavy jerk while changing gears.usually from 1-2.Other gears r quiet nd smooth.

Your trans is most probably down with a single circuit failure, which an atf change would not cure. Atf, filter, pump, primary regulator have global effect on the transmission, not a particular range. If your clutch, valve or accumulator is bad, harsh shift will occur.

What else is affected? Gears ranges share holding members.
