How ever you choose to view the past administration, you can't take it away that Nigerian democracy has never had it this good in the time past.
Take it or leave it you can't deny that it was only during Gej tenure that the following happened in our Democratic experience as a Nation

1. Passage of Freedom of information bill ( foi)

2. Appointment of a Neutral Nigerian ( prof jega) to head Inec and refusal by Gej to sack him even when it was alleged that he is in favor of his Northern kinsman. in contrast to PMB who appointed his inlaw

3. Opposition parties winning election with very little litigation if any afterwards.

4. Opposition party heading the lower chamber of the house.(we all know the situation now. So be the judge)

5. Losing election himself the opposition and calling personally to congratulate his opponent before official announcement by Inec

The current attempt to disgrace the former president using the media is a very bad example to present leaders not just in Nigeria but Africa at large.
Make no mistake about it, I am 100% in support of probing of past leaders and returning our stolen wealth but in a proper way not this way.

The current trend where even leaders that cannot pay the salaries of Civil servants under them, come out to make baseless accusations and insults to the person of the former President with cheers from gullible Nigerians is worrisome and sets a bad example to leaders who may want to follow Gej footsteps in accepting defeat.

Finally, if Gej or any minister under him was involved in corruption, He or the minister should be prosecuted according to the constitution and not in a way that suggests deliberate witchhunt.
This is to save guard our Democratic gains.
Have a nice day.

Let it be known that if he didn't accept defeat, defeat would have accepted him. Jonathan's life was in danger if he didn't accept defeat you think Jonathan didn't see it. Everything he had hoped on deserted him including God himself I'm sure.
The people he helped flee the country days before with their families and friends so he was on his own. The coup would have been bloody my people even the rats that he feed fat in Aso Rock wanted him out. OBJ would have struggled to rig that election for himself but would still have lost it all.

Jonathan only changed the life of 10 % of Nigerians, the other 28 % were just clouded by sentimental blocks in their mental systems. The fact was that he had no chance but to leave, his time was up otherwise the rich would have suffered in Nigeria unnecessarily and would have still been Gbabowed away from power.

No sir PDP didn't but Jonathan gave APC the platform to boom and when the people made their choice in giving APC their mandate, he respected that completely.
Note Buhari didn't become a corruption czar in 2015
Tinubu didn't become a master strategist in 2015
And don't forget that now as a Nigerian you have right to know how our common wealth is being utilized or mismanaged as the case may be courtesy of the Foi.
Do you not think the Foi played a big roll in Jonathan's defeat?

Is it the president that passes bills in nigeria?

Take it or leave it you can't deny that it was only during Gej tenure that the following happened in our Democratic experience as a Nation

1. Passage of Freedom of information bill ( foi) How effective is d FOI then and even now..FOI bill was passed but it's enforcement was mere thrash

2. Appointment of a Neutral Nigerian ( prof jega) to head Inec and refusal by Gej to sack him even when it was alleged that he is in favor of his Northern kinsman. in contrast to PMB who appointed his inlaw.. neutral u say? GEJ would have sacked jega if he had th opportunity to..the call for the sack of jega was at a time when all eyes were on GEJ and PDP. Sacking jega at that period would have spelt more doom to PDP and GEJ himself.. obviously those calling for the sack of jega knew he wasn't going to compromise. They were desperate to get him out before the election.

3. Opposition parties winning election with very little litigation if any afterwards. Nigerians wanted GEJ in 2011..he has this calm and conning looks and majority saw him as a saviour..there was nothing anyone could do about that.. but for the state election it was obvious the south west never wanted anyone from PDP.

4. Opposition party heading the lower chamber of the house.(we all know the situation now. So be the judge) the lower chamber(house) was headed by a PDP member(Aminu tambuwal). Until his defection in late 2014.. he spent his entire time as a speaker under PDP.. calculate the number of years he was a speaker under PDP and the number of months under APC.. his defection was challenged in court but the PDP lost.

5. Losing election himself the opposition and calling personally to congratulate his opponent before official announcement by INEC.. what's the big noise about conceding to defeat..it was an election..he was rejected by majority of the people..he had no choice or say. If he had won d election and declared he wasn't going to remain in government..then we would celebrate him. He lost and conceded defeat in a democratic dispensation..so what's the big deal. Let's not twist fact to celebrate a failed leader.

The current attempt to disgrace the former president using the media is a very bad example to present leaders not just in Nigeria but Africa at large.

Let those governors be brought to account for every penny allocated to them for the welfare of the state..let them account for it without any fear or favour. The past administration should also account for every money they spent.

Finally, if Gej or any minister under him was involved in corruption, He or the minister should be prosecuted according to the constitution and not in a way that suggests deliberate witchhunt.
This is to save guard our Democratic gains.
Have a nice day. To safe guard our democracy everyone must be brough to book including GEJ. Have a nice day.

Jonathan had a choice.
you and I know that the last election was far from perfect. what a power obsessed leader would have done was to hold on to flimsy excuses and annul the election results. The worst that will happen is that people who he will easily not care about will die in a riot or a military coup in which case he might be jailed or killed.
Now assuming Buhari is vindictive and jails him without proper trial wouldn't it have been better for him to die trying to hold on to power which odds are he might even succeed?
But no his ambition is not worth a Nigerian life.
The Nigerian life has never been so valued, at least not by the current President over his ambition.

whether you voted him or not is not the issue. The issue at hand is that we as a nation made significant Democratic gains during his administration which I am appealing to APC to build on destroy by their actions and inaction.

The true story is bad leadership qualities destroys life he has already destroyed lives with is cluelessness. What our leaders need to know is that what ever happens they will still leave power its not a permanent position so do the right thing if the cap doesn't fit pass it on.

According to you Jonathan was a bad leader which I don't argue but he gave us a neutral platform to judge him which we did and the judgement was not in his favor but still he accepted it.
That platform is my concern today and I seek to protect with this writeup, not Jonathan.
And all well meaning Nigerians should because no matter how incorruptible a person's record is before power remember power corrupts

True talk, God must have unleash Jonathan on Nigeria to punish us 'cause i don't know how a man that did not achieve anything as a governor end up mismanaging a country of over 160 million people.

Your points are not along with the threads. This thread is not for discussing Jonathan but an appeal to APC to take steps aimed at improving democracy and not the other way round.
Note Jonathan is not the first leader to lose an election on seat but his reaction to it, is why he is mentioned as an example

so what has APC done to hinder democracy that the last administration didn't do? And if any..did u make such call under past administrations? If yes..i need a link to the thread where u made such calls.. except u would tell me past administration had a 100% pass mark for improving democracy. No shortcomings??

Are you not aware of the happenings in The National Assembly .
Zakari to me is a wrong choice for incec chairman.
I won't answer your question pertaining to me making calls during the last dispensation because the question itself is not proper.
