Conscience is an open wound, only truth can heal it as said by late Dele Giwa. Apparently not all of us from the Niger Delta towed the line of "He is our son, so we must support him irrespective of anything he does". Try read this piece from comrade Timi Frank and make some judgments yourself. Under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, I was vociferous against the major economic saboteurs and those that were presiding over corruption in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) but many lackeys of that inglorious era called me names. They could not understand why I could not just shut up in the face of evil seeing that the perpetrators or those who aided and abetted the criminality (which we call corruption for want of a better name) were from my ethnic origin. According to them, I was supposed to remain silent seeing that some of my own kith and kin were believed to be supervising the monumental pillaging of the nation’s wealth. “Don’t you think you ought to support your brother, who is today the President of this country rather than criticising him in the media on a daily basis?” one of them said to me one day. He had added: “What is the problem between you and the Minister of Petroleum Resources? Don’t you know she is your sister?” My reply to all such preaching was that I would rather do without a brother and a sister whose actions or inactions are bringing untold hardship on the generality of Nigerians. I had called on Nigerians to rise up in protest and make sure change was effected at the appropriate time during the elections. I will never cease to thank God for having heard the cry of Nigerians and delivered this country into the hands of a ‘Moses’ – President Muhammadu Buhari – who is today leading this country to the promised land. I can only look back with gratitude to my maker and Nigerians for making the much sought paradigm shift in the governance of this country a reality in my lifetime.http://www.today.ng/blog/08116270-buhari-kachikwu-and-new-thinking-in-nnpc/ |

I can only pray that Buhari succeeds and that kachikwu will continue to be strong in the face of corruption in the NNPC |

Sai Baba..,Sai Buhari....,Sai Emmanual Ibe Kachikwu....,Congratulations....!!! The era of change has truly been felt in all ramifications of various sectors in Nigeria.Next expectation is the issue of casualization (Modern slavery),which has become a corrupt practice in Nigeria industries esp. Banking, Telecoms, Oil & Gas e.t.c where some Ogas @ the top in these industries manipulate the stipends meant for these group of employees to enrich themselves. Victimisation of the highest order....Change..! Change....!! Change....!!! |

@Op, Great piece! By May 29, 2016, those who are still struggling to come to terms with the evil of GEJ's maladministration would have been convinced beyond reasonable doubt when they see evidence of good and strategic leadership exuded by Buhari and his team. To govern is not rocket science. It is about the Will to do the right thing which the past PDP government lacked in its entirety! |

atbu1983:May God continue to show you the path of truth that will broaden your horizon and liberate you from every chains of bondage. Tribalism ended with the advent of the internet that converted the world into one small global village. The people and traditionalists of Ife got a taste of it with the demise of the Oni and their attempt to reenact ancient practice which was bursted by recent inventions and civilization. Lalasticlala, pls would you mind doing justice to this thread? |

midolian:This guy has been talking for long about the sleaze in the oil sector but GEJ wouldn't listen meanwhile he went telling Buhari he's just hearing most of the corruption cases for the first time. The same man who went on national TV defending the okpolor eyes and asking why will the HOR be inviting her up to six times. A president who asked his indicted minister to shun constituted authorities and prevent them from carrying out their duties. He actually thinks our memories are that short. |

philips70:oh, Jona can only fool himself. I laughed so hard when I read that GEJ said he is just hearing most of the corruption cases for the first time. The same GEJ who sacked sanusi for raising the $20billion alarm? ![]() |

philips70:lol..why not nollywood sef. The faces of bollywood are far better actors than our wack nollywood. GEJ isn't a good actor. Write him a script, guide him during rehearsals on how to act the script for a year and he will still fumble. There are pple like him in nollywood ![]() |
