The Plateau Government has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in Riyom and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas following a resurgence of violence there.

This contained in a statement signed by Rufus Bature, the Secretary to the State Government on Thursday.

``The curfew starts 6 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m.,'' the statement declared.

It stated that enough security personnel would be deployed to protect life and property, and cautioned against actions that could worsen the security situation in the area.

NAN reports that the warring Berom and Fulani communities, who only recently resolved to end hostilities, took up arms against each other early this week.

The Special Task Force in charge of security in Plateau has confirmed that many have been killed in the past few days but said that its personnel had been deployed to affected areas to restore law and order.

I was here

I a times wondered what they benefits by killing one another, what are the motives, what are they fighting for . Hope the curfew yield a tangible results but for how long .

Äbokis are d roots of all problem......from boko haram, isis etc......down to individuals such as abacha, atiku, ibb...etc.....although we are currently investigating d " born again" buhari, i can boldly say d former buhari has made d list........obj and rochas who certainly are confused abt their origin seem 2 fall into dat list...

So people are being killed in this country every day and we hear nothing about it, all because its not Jonathan, well God will judge all enemies of this country. They behave as if they love dis country but they are d ones destroying it in d name of change.
