I'm a serving corper in Rivers state and ever since i stepped my funny feet into this state, i've been trying to network and make new friends.

So far, i been to Airforce base, naval base, rumuola, eliozu, Agip, wimpey, mile 1, mile 3, eleme jxn, oyinbo, onne, rumuokoro, G.R.A etc. So i felt thats all ph have got, only for me to call a frnd i met in recently at a gathering and ask him where he stays.
He told me the name of a strange place i haven't heard in ph before. So, i was like, tell me d name of a neighbouring town i can use to locate your place cos even though i'm new here, 'i dey try for names of places in this town'.

So he asked me where i knew in ph, i told him.
He laughed and said, "that's not ph!".

U mean you've not heard of borikiri, marine base, logos, civic center, etc.
I said, "No!".
He was like, you need to buy more fuel to tour round these city!

Well u have tried sha!!! Those places he called are not too far from where u have visited and neigther are they too far from each other.

For example if you are in the spirit and not in a hurry you can trek from Lagos b/s to borokiri and even to marine base if am not mistaken. Though its been long i moved round ph so some of these names sef dont paint a picture again in my mind.

at OP we call those areas TOWN. so u just de start. have fun in your circumnavigation. one of the things i enjoyed during nysc (knowing places). but pleas be careful oo. have a joyous service year

The first place you suppose know for PH na Secretariat and the adjoining areas cos thats like Rivers States own 'Three Arms Zone' as you'll find the Govt house, Courts, PoliceHQ, State House of Assembly all within close proximity.

Followed by Trans Amadi, Onne, Rumuolumeni as they are the major industrial areas.

Then New GRA and Choba(Uniport and environs), if you're the flexing type.

FYI, if you're in Town (Lagos bus stop to Borikiri), Diobu, Marine Base, better be careful and do not appear flamboyant as they openly rob you of possesions..Have a nice tym.

Pls i have a new job in trans-amadi but i dnt kw PH so well. Where is the nearest residential area where some one can get an accommodation and whats the cost for a room/ one room selfcon? Thanks
