I suspect that this is the gear up being used to mass rape Igbo women in the impending wave of anti-Igbo genocides.

Even if this were true, any evidence of Igbos engaging in prostitution is directly an offshoot of the economic handicap that limited the SE immediately after the war.

Here is a survey of prostitutes in Onitsha/Anambra conducted by anthropologists in the early sixties. Pay particular attention to the words in bold.

(Helen made some interesting findings about the women. All were non-Igbo-speaking in origin, mostly from the Northern Region, and were carefully saving their earnings to support education of their family members at home. They were also well-organized as an interest group within the Central Hotel, and could proudly tell of cases where members joined to beat up and throw out men who mistreated any one of them. Helen used the research in her later work, but the material as a corpus was never published.)

first understand the reason why they are embarking on such demolition. We all know that brothels harbor criminals and some of those ladies aid those criminals to carry out their nefarious activities. In addition, they kinda of pollute the minds of young girls and boys just as a porn does. So, its a good work by the anambra state government. Anambra is not a perfect state that is free from all crimes and can never, but its a welcome development by the government to discourage these pretty ladies who have a better future but have been brainwashed to take the wrong path.
