Nope but that's a myopic way of calculating it. We are like 100 plus the guest on this thread. and we all have friends on WhatsApp and Facebook, my friends on WhatsApp also have different friends on their WhatsApp and it goes on and on and on. Though some may not be on WhatsApp. Plus we all agreed that the results are low. Then I must on the average have indirectly seen nothing less than 3000 results.
Don't be decieved bro, slot dey for people and that is d truth.
As much as you think you know or might have seen,I'll quote you when the cut-off is out.

guy stop ... behaving as if you know it all .... when jamb failed ppt candidates last year .... wasn't it obvious that the cut off would be low .... its deductive reasoning we are talking of here .... go check my school ... unilag admission guide ... and see for yourself .... well ... let's watch how the drama unfolds ...

lol, there's really no point stressing my point cos you still wouldn't understand.I'm not behaving like I know it all,I'm just saying it just the way it is so most people don't get heartbroken when the cut-off is released. I wish everybody here the best, cos I personally don't wish anybody to pass through what I passed through.

There's no doubt this year's post utme score is somehow low. It's only a hand full of individuals that have managed to sail above 60%. The larger percentage of those who passed are between 50 and 59. (I tell you, if you scored within this range, you be baba or mama as the case may be)

I said it in my earlier post that applicants should braise themselves up for something different this year. The moment I realized a CBT exam which was supposed to be released almost immediately took a week, I knew NORMALIZATION was on-going. JAMB uses this method and so, it's not your raw score that you actuaclly get.

Make no mistake, the 0.25 that was added to some people's aggregrate is no mistake or generosity. It's part of the process. It'll end up making the difference between the "boys" and the "men". By next week, the cut-offs will be out and I can assure you it won't rise higher than last year. Just begin to match your scores with the cut-offs. The difference is not going to be more than "minus 4" at most. I.e if your catchment was 65 last year, it's likely not going to go below 61. Wisdom therefore demands that you start studying which course you can change to now.

It's the situation we have found ourselves in this country. We struggle and compete for almost everything - including death! Many are capable and willing but are denied because of limited space. Please don't give up brothers and sisters. Join the "league of strugglers" and do your best to enter this year. Any course. You may keep that bird in hand while hunting for another one next year.

Congratulations to all who have checked their results and passed. The best is yet to come. Those who didn't do too well, God will make a better way for you. You aren't a failure! The test is even called quiz. It's not a true test of your character! Braze up for other times. It is well.

(Interestingly, dedecoder is a graduate of Microbiology from OAU ife and an aspirant for this year's Unilag's MBBS. Hoping to meet my prospective "colleagues"wink. Shalom!

This is d major reason why people fail; they are always lookin fr people or smtin to blame for their failures...jamb introduced a policy,u pple complained, now, uve written d postutme,u are still complainin.....anyone dat fails d exam isnt intelligent or didnt prepare hard enuf...do u expect evri1 to pass?......There are pple with aggregates of 65-76..many of dem.....itz because they merit it...so if u failed...go nd prepare harder...nd stop complainin lyk failures do.... I rep LAW....law aspirants...share ur scores

Oga when u join this thread. So if you are an art student, your focus will be on mathematics, 90% of universities in Nigeria do not require credit in maths to study art and some social science courses.
Its not a bad thing if its an o level requirement.
As for it being a compulsory subject in post jamb, it is wrong. Since jamb itself does not make it a compulsory subject, why do they have to. Setting calculus for art student who didn't take further maths in secondary school.
Lastly phayme (femi) am an akokite already. Pls be civil next time. You can counter my opinion but be civil about it bro. 'Don't blame unilag for your incompetence' isnt civil at all
im really sorry if i came across as rude or anything but maths is essential in all courses and all areas. I guess i was just trying to put an end to the 'science students are smarter than arts students' talk.
P.s: im a science student, being here for a while but never comment, and im female(phayme as in phayvour as in favour). And i am always civil. No hard feelings.

That kinda settle it. I wouldn't say science students are smarter but they tend to be more serious than non science students sha plus they tend to need more mathematics than commercial students, art student don't need it that much.
Don't let's forget, lawyers always pride themselves to be the smartest and they are art students.

Lol,unilag is also my school. Ask labo,I did all these during my time and was suprised when d cut-off was released. No,I don't mean it that way, the people on nairaland, whatsapp and any other result you might have seen don't even make up 5% of the total people that wrote the exam, what if I told you I've seen people with 75 and 78 agg,so don't judge with that. It was untill the screening exercise I started meeting people who got as high as 38/40 in their putme. As per the case of the person u said,my cousin who didn't meet change of course last year opted for the COC and changed to physics but was even given a higher course that he didn't choose, which is even about 8marks above his aggregate,so it might have been a mistake or probably just luck,so don't always conclude its
runs. But I repeat, there is no way sum1 would get in the merit list of a course he didn't choose, irrespective of the course. That's what I was trying to tell that guy

Oga, people get into merit list of another course dey didn't fill in for....my frnd got into actuarial science, but she put in for accounting, merit list...also, goto environmental science, mostly building and QS and hear the course they chose initialy..
