As Salam alaykum warahmatullah wa barakat. In shaa Allah, this thread is going to be a potpourri of observations, events, reflections, poems etc. My Mountain Cadillac and then a Lamborghini A husband and a body for bikini And Children, smart and sweet All without a sweat I love beautiful friends And respect from all fiends Walk tall and proud Without being run aground Let no harm do my family More digits added to my salary The best health anyone can have Brains and brawns of the brave Yes, yes, more and more But when the breath is no more Six feet under, no room to think Or fit my mountain of things. 10 Likes |

Why not me? I look at her, she’s so smart. Close to her sixties in fact. Head of a multinational leading firm Notable for outstanding decisions Her hair is cropped short, a bob, she wears no make up, her suit has elbow patches. I had only seen that in men. She is compassionate about charity and tolerance. Her subordinates loved her so. I wondered about a husband, and kids and all that.. I learned about her story. She was an only child born to well learned parents. No, she has neither husband, nor kids. And then one day, a press release. “This is her “wife”” She is not straight and has never hidden it. She is proud of who she is and wears her identity as a badge of honor. But all for whose pleasure. To what end? Then why not me? I have been commanded to cover my modesty, to lower my gaze as well as modulate my voice. To not be alone in the company of men who are not my relatives. To not engage in acts of lewdness. To be kind to my parents, children, relatives, Muslims and mankind. But all for whose pleasure? Allah’s I have been offered a better deal. I should wear my identity as a badge of honor. I should be proud of who I am. Will I become the head of an intercontinental firm? If Allah wills? Do I want to be? Another thought to ponder . So, Why not me? 8 Likes 1 Share |

How on earth Two women walked in front of me. I couldn't help but over hear their conversation. "I applied for a loan and they are offering it at 13%, imagine I actually have a saving's account with them; and I've had it for so many years" "hmmrmmph, they loan your own money out to you at a ridiculous rate" retorted her companion. "So how much percent is your savings account" she asked. "It's actually less than 1 percent" she responded . They both grumble some more and turned to the left hallway while I took the right. I also knew that the first woman will take the loan. Then I started to think about the system and how easy it is to get into the rat race. And I asked myself how was the idea of interest finance packaged, marketed and sold to us? How? I ask because it makes no mathematical sense. 3 Likes |

The song of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) My meal is fasting, My standard is awe of Allah. My clothing is of simple wool, My prayer in winter is at suns rise. My lamp is moonlight, My steed is my legs. My meal is whatever the earth gives me. I lay down to sleep at night and have nothing, I awake in the morning and have nothing, yet there is no one richer than I. 3 Likes |

If your artery ruptures Your heart may stop And your lungs flop But Ma'am we can restart your heart And get your lungs to inflate The fear in her eyes is real Everyone gets the same deal Reassured, she takes a deep breath She is but four score and eight Again, she sighed "Well if I will be okay, then don’t let me die” Who knows if she’ll be okay Full code it is for today 4 Likes |

To family, ftiends and neighbours, As we set our foot on track, We need to bare our hearts, To forgive those that wronged us, And seek from the ones we wronged, For indeed we never know, Which act is most worthy, In the sight of ALLAH our LORD No effort should we ignore, To gain the pleasure of Allah, In this exalted month, And till eternity enjoy HIS GRACE. Masjid After Ramadan [size=15pt] Lament of the Masjid A few days after Ramadan, many masjids were seen to cry. Someone asked, why? You ask me why I am so grieved? It’s because I have been deceived. I ask, Oh Muslim, where have you gone, where are you? Was the past month a dream? It doesn’t seem real or true. Oh my beloved, was it all a dream, was it all a show? That is why my tears do flow. Why don’t you visit me, why have you not returned? From the past month is this what you learned? My soul is empty without you and also my heart How can you feel at ease being so far apart? You are the one, whom the Lord chose for his own remembrance, So why should I not lament at your absence? Why do I no longer hold any charm? From where else will you attain inner peace or calm? I call you every day but you do not respond Day by day weakens our bond! I call you in the day and I call you at night. What’s happened? For sure something’s not right Don’t you recognize me anymore? Don’t you hear my voice? Is it deliberate or do you really have no choice? When will you light me up again? Will I have to wait another year? Going by past experience, that is what I fear. 3 Likes

Observation! Allah Made Everything Twin But He Is One What a LIFE we LIVE Have you taken Note of the CO-INCIDENCE OF LIFE: 1. CHURCH has 6 letters so does MOSQUE. 2. BIBLE has 5 letters so does QURAN. 3. LIFE has 4 letters so does DEAD. 4. HATE has 4 letters, so does LOVE.... 5. ENEMIES has 7, so does FRIENDS. 6. LYING has 5, so does TRUTH. 7. HURT has 4, so does HEAL. 8. NEGATIVE has 8, so does POSITIVE. 9. FAILURE has 7, so does SUCCESS. 10. BELOW has 5, but so does ABOVE. 11. CRY has 3 letters so does JOY. 12. ANGER has 5 so does HAPPY. 13. RIGHT has 5 so does WRONG. 14. RICH has 4 so does POOR. 15. FAIL has 4 so does PASS 16. KNOWLEDGE has 9 so does IGNORANCE. Are they all by Co-incidence? We should Choose wisely, this means LIFE is like a Double-Edged Sword. If u think it is your alarm clock that woke you up this morning, try putting it beside a dead body and you will realise that it is the Grace of God that woke you up. |

As salam alaykum warahmatullah wabarkatuhu; thanks for keeping the thoughts flowing. Hey brother, hey sister, where's your salam? Your hijab flows to the hem, your head is worthy of a madam Your clothes have cool not hot colors And no on catches a whiff of perfume outdoors Do you rejoice in the promise of a good hereafter? Should you rejoice at the loss of the unbeliever? But your face dear sister, dear brother Is quite lacking in peace ever But a strand of her hair is showing And his pants and the floor are touching Pffttt! He's not good enough She's one of the misguided and rough Externally, you reach way too far Yet salam is so easy to mar Peace with yourself is what you need to find With Allah, with jinns and mankind. ^ Walaikum Salam waramotul lahi wabarakatu ~Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) Seek what you do not Know only after you have put into practice what you do Know. The disciples of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) came to him and asked; “O spirit of Allah, is there anyone else like you alive in our time?” He replied: “Yes indeed, Whoever has the dhikr of Allah in his heart, and is silent in thought, and who learns from what is given, surely that one is like me.” Isa ibn Mariyam (AS), asked his people: “Where do you find a plant growing?” They replied: “In the dust of the earth.” He said: “By Al Haqq, I will tell you, Marifat (Gnosis) does not grow except in a heart that is like the dust of the earth.” Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) met a man and asked him what his profession was. The man replied: “I worship Allah.” Isa (AS) then asked: ‘Who feeds and clothes you while you worship?” “My brother,” The man replied. Isa (AS) said: “Your brother’s worship is better than your own.” Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) met three people while traveling, They were pale and thin with fasting. He asked them: “What has caused this state in you?” They said: “Fear of the punishment of Allah” Isa (AS) replied: “Allah has taken it upon Himself to lessen your fear.” He continued on a way and came across three more who were pale and thin with fasting, even more than the last. He asked them: “What has caused this state in you?” They answered: “Desire for Allah’s rewards” Isa (AS) said: “Allah has taken it upon Himself to give you what you long for.” Once again in his travels Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) came across yet another three who were pale and thin with fasting. Their faces shone as if they were lit from within. So he asked them: “What is the cause of your state?” They answered: “We love Allah, the Mighty, the Glorious.” Whereupon he replied: “You are the nearest, and nearer still!” The companions of Isa ibn Mariyam (AS) said to him: “Look at this temple, is it not beautiful?” Isa (AS) replied: “My people, by al Haqq I tell you, Allah does not leave this temple standing except to destroy it by the sins of it’s inhabitants. Surely, Allah does not care about gold and silver, He does not care about this building that you admire so. What Allah, the Most High loves are good hearts. Allah inhabits the heart that remembers Him and He desolates the heart that does not.” Isa ibn Mariyam (AS), passed by a group of men who shouted evil things at him. In return Isa (AS) spoke to them with kindness. His companions asked: “Why did you reply to these men with kindness when they spoke evil to you?” Isa (AS) replied: “Everyone spends from the coin he has.” |

A wise old man was sitting at the river bank when he saw a cat that had fallen into the water, flailing around, trying to save itself from drowning. The man decided to save the cat. He stretched his hand out but was scratched by the cat. He pulled his hand back in pain. However, a minute later he stretched his hand out again to save the cat, but it scratched him again, and again he pulled his hand back in pain. Another minute later he was yet again trying for the third time!! A man, who was nearby watching what was happening, yelled out: "O wise man, you have not learned your lesson the first time, nor the second time, and now you are trying to save the cat a third time?" The wise man paid no heed to that man's scolding, and kept on trying until he managed to save the cat. He then walked over to the man, and patted his shoulder saying: "My son.. it is in the cat's nature to scratch, and it is in my nature to love and have sympathy. Why do you want me to let the cat's nature overcome mine !?!! My son: Treat people according to your nature, not according to theirs, no matter what they are like and no matter how numerous are their actions that harm you and cause you hurt sometimes. And do not pay heed to all the voices that loudly call out to you to leave behind your good qualities merely because the other party is not deserving of your noble actions. When you live to give happiness to others, The Almighty will send you those who will live to give happiness to you. "Is the reward for good anything but good?" Quran: 55:60 Be beautiful in character and hearts will love you. So never regret the moments you gave happiness to someone, even if that person did not deserve it. And suffice in the fact that you have a Lord Who will reward you for good with good. ____________ “The entire Deen is (about) good character, so whoever exceeds you in good character, has exceeded you in the Deen.” - Ibn al Qayyum (Rahmatullahi 'alayh) |
