No dear. Only the "cups" (that's minors) wear shorts while the "kims" (adults) wear trousers. That's their mode of dressing.

Correction everyone: it's not called boys scout but The scout association of Nigeria because there are lot of women / girls in the organization so " boys " scout is an old name.
Scout not only wear short but also but also wear long. Long ago the organization hand book of rule had been reviewed. There are 3 types of scout but most of us are familiar with the green and brown uniform scouy . we have the land scout( green & brown uniform), sea scout ( uniform like navy) and air scout ( uniform like the air force)
Not only gov obiano wears the scout uniform.
According to the scout hand book all state governors must be invested as the grand patron of the scout association of that state.

We have categories in scouting and their dressing code likewise their scarf colour. From Rovers and above wear trouser with red scarf

Exactly....likewise me during those days.....I was the smallest then but am highly respected coz of my active participation and training performance. So te the come give me rank"patrol 2nd". I so much like boy scout. Especially. Camping

Exactly@built2last.....I can still see the flash black of those days..."scout we !! "..........I can still recite the scouts promise. I join d scouts as early as 1995. I was then the patrol 2nd of platoo....."On my honor,I promise to do my best,to do my duty to God,and my country Nigeria and to help other people at all times and to obey the scout law". This the scout promise then .....
