Number of deaths in DTR suicide attack now 5.
22 have been partially injured while 6 are in critical condition, according to officials at SEMA.



Sad and heartbreaking

Sad and unfortunate suicide bomb attack in Damaturu this morning. 4 were confirmed dead so far while about 30 sustained injuries. State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and hospital officials providing emergency support.

Reports reaching DAILY POST has it that a suicide bomber struck at a busy area in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital this morning.


At least five people were killed from the explosion with more than 20 others injured.

Director of Media and Publicity to Yobe State Governor, Abdullahi Bego, confirmed that the dead have been evacuated to the mortuary while the injured victims are currently being attended to by health and emergency workers.


Security personnel have cordoned the area.
