The victim's mindset dilutes the human potential.

By not accepting responsibility for our conditions and circumstances .. We greatly reduce our ability to change them
Bro, you're killing me. It took me many years to arrive at this, but once I did,my life has never remained the same.

How can you change a situation you're not accepting being responsible for? How?

Like hahn said, accepting responsibility for one's life angers them and thereby creates in them a strong desire to do something about it.

This is serious. This is liberating. But will the people read this? They're busy arguing who's the better between Messi and Ronaldo.

I'll respond better when I'm less busy. Thanks for your wisdom . Hahn, thanks for bringing me here. This is my habitat. LOL!
Don't mention.

It's really a great feeling to mingle and rub minds with people of like thought and an even greater knowledge base. It's discussions like these that give me the hope that Nigeria has what it takes to rise to greatness.

Eventually, excellence will overcome mediocrity and ill be proud to say "I was one of them!" grin

The political and celebrity talks are getting very boring and tiresome for people... You will enter a thread and people will only write "ok" "k" and leave...

People need something they don't get to see everyday, something new and fresh to them and most importantly something they can learn from..

Buhari went to Chad is getting pretty bleak
True that...You did a nice job on this thread.

I just went through it, I love the hilarious ways you presented each of the nine planets, I really enjoy reading stuffs like this.
Kudos to you, and hopefully, It will hit the homepage. Thanks

Lol Funny you, this reminds of my Geography days, eventhough our teacher then was the word 'boring' personified, had to read what we knew on the subject mostly on our own.grin

I love Saturn, I find it quite fascinating, just imagine we had at least 62 moons shinning above us every night, wouldn't that be something?smiley

I can't see a damn thing. cheesy

Meanwhile, in other news, I found these interesting questions online.

if Jupiter is a gas giant, is it possible to drove a rocket through it's diameter such that it enters in one place, passes through the center, and comes out at the other side?
since the moon has such a slow gravity, can I shoot a bullet up and it will never come back down?
can we make artificial saturn like rings for earth? How would they look like from the ground?
what if the moon had it's own moon?
how big was the planet that formed the asteroid belt?
Anyway, I thought they were rather fascinating and that you guys might enjoy answering them.

Robinhez, get back here.

actually, I don't think the earth can survive 62 moons. embarassed
Just one moon has immense effect on our tidal waves. 62 moons could actually part a sea. If correctly positioned. Also, we would have trouble with satellites, and lots of abnormalities . . . ah forget it. grin

[b]MARS

The red planet is a very interesting one because it's the only one man is at the moment exploring from the inside.

This red beauty shows evidence of ancient oceans and also still has frozen methane water and is suspected to probably contain life beneath some dark deep craters or something close to that..either way you get the gist so lets just keep our fingers crossed till someone comes up with real evidence..

This rocky dude stands at 141million miles in the row and an orbital period of 686days... imagine what we could do with that grin...We'd probably get bored waiting for the new year cheesy

My guy has 2 moons named Phobos and Deimos...Has the record of hosting the tallest mountain in the solar system, almighty Olympus mons which makes our own Everest look dwarvish at almost 3times it's height, that's an insult, take that everest angry grin

this planet is also visible to the naked eyes from earth.

One look at this planet shows you it's a mean dude and must not be messed with cus it doesn't give a fucck, why because as you guessed right is also named after a God, in this case the Roman God of War, little wonder it doesn't smile.. grin

So currently man has a robotic machine on mars "the curiosity rover" exploring every inch of the red planet and with many plans on going man probably will land on mars hopefully before or after 2030 grin expanding our colony things wink

Give me a raised hand if you are interested in the one way trip to this red world, will save you a seat

1)Close range pic of mars
2)Inside by the curiosity rover..

OP, does O2 and CO2 exist on this planet?

Omo mehn!! This is dope. . . . As in dope.

I read that Mecury & Venus are badass rich kids. They have these minerals that we are fighting over for. Perhaps Arabs won't have a share in it if we could explore it. Dubai will look like a joke to Ibadan. Lol & even our politicians will accept Jesus cos money go yapa.

Guys, if we could have metals (Nano made. God knows I wll research into Nanotech if I were a billionaire). If we had such metals, shey we no fit just use am explore ni? Or am I missing something??

Yes very much... as a matter of fact CO2 is the dominant component of Mars atmosphere but just little trace of oxygen.

CO2 is up 95% of Mars atmosphere while O2 is barely 0.2%....

So literally to your question... "Yes both exists in Mars though at varying proportions..

So how do you propose humans can survive there?

We go over there and plant trees/flowers/grasses that will consume the CO2 gases while emitting O2 for humans to live oh (don't know how possible that is)?

Or we transport O2 via containers to Mars and inhale from the containers?

Are the soils suitable for vegetation?

What about water, because from what I read, they haven't discovered water but just evidence of the existence of one?

Etc.

Lol.. it's not even about about the sea being parted. . The effect of the little moon buggers if we get up to 5 like pluto will make water transportation impossible well that would be good because no politician will throw yacht parties anymore angry but again that would be bad cus tsunamis could be a normal day to day activities..

Nigeria has lots of minerals we are yet to tap into. Even if we could increase production and distribution/exportation of our agro products Dubai will still not be as beautiful as Dubai.

If Nigeria even has Nano metals, you can be rest assured no one will know until the oyel dries up

Oh really? You should have told me earlier Na, the latest Suzuki model can travel far faster than light. . . . . . . .in a Bose Einstein condensate. tongue
grin grin grin

Seriously though, Suzuki can never do that for you. What you need to do, my friend, if you want to find a way to get to the speed of light in a vacuum, so deliciously put just out of our reach by Einstein, (I hate that man, I swear. cheesy)
You need to find a way to get a zero mass, or an infinite energy source.
An alternative route is to find a tachyon. Which has an imaginary mass! Which is √-1 this mean that the faster they go, the more they lose energy, but this means, getting them to even exist requires infinite energy.
you Suzuki could also invest in string theory . . . which, let's admit it, it a random goose chase. We don't know if it's a wild or a domestic one. huh
Either way, you're probably going to get married before they release light speed model. And you know these women, embarassed you'll start hearing, "honey, what do you want with light speed bike naw. Come on, be a good dad to your sons, oluwamakesense and chuwkubadtgan" grin grin
Lol yea.

Tachyon. I was baffled that : HOW CAN A PARTICLE NOT HAVE MASS YET HAVE CHARGE?? Omo, i didn't have a laptop then, so couldn't read much.

This semester break, i have tons of things to do. From reading for 200L to some little electronics project to reading on Quantum Physics.

Bose-Einstein condensate. . . Isn't it another state of matter ?? Solid,Liquid,Gas, Plasma, Bose - Einstein condensate?

Sateynhandra Bose had 110% / 100 in his Mathematics in school. . . . So fearful a man

metals? shocked oh dear God.
Metals conduct heat. They roast quite easily. I vote polymers. With heat insulation and self repair!

But there's a shortcut. . . FORCE FIELDS.

force fields . . . force fields . . .how the hell damn tech work?!
Imagine being confronted by robbers and they ask for your new iPhone 6 and you're like, no. undecided and they open fire, and you're like,

https://livepurposefullynow.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Neo-stopping-bullets1.jpgguys, guys, please. This isn't worth it.

With that, we could totally enter the sun. and travel to mars without protective shit on space shuttles.

I heard Terence tao was working on spontaneous fluid explosion equations, I can't wait to get my hands on that research so I can remodel it into a FORCE FIELD!

[b]Lol..i love your mind and how it works...We have methods of growing plants (primary source of O2) that doesn't involve soil...

Man will survive and live in Mars the same way Man is living and surviving in the International space station right now in space..

there are methods of growing plants and ultimately getting O2 outside of earth.

(a)Aeroponics: this is the method of growing plants in mid air, in a mist environment and the nutrients needed are administered to it.. .. So if you ever see a plant suspended in mid air, don't run..its not magic grin

(b)Hydroponics: Growing the plant in water that contains all the necessary minerals needed... its like saying to the soil.."take that sucker grin"

these methods are perfectly efficient too and are currently being used in the International space station and will be too for Mars when man eventually goes to mars.

And less i forget, there will be closed habitat compartments if man is to survive in mars

Lol... our own moon as science speculates was as a result of an ancient asteriod crash on earth, the impact birth our moon.

Most of the moons out there are asteriods and in many cases actually are planets because they are massive enough to achieve hydrostatic equilibrum e.g Jupiters moons Ganymede, io and co... what makes them a satellite (moon) is that they are in orbit around a planet and not in direct orbit around the sun like a planet...
