And that night just like this night, as if it knew what was to come the sky was shedding tears. And that night, just like this night You couldn't sleep so No one was asleep. The Iroko was about to fall. Nature signal the earth with tears Sleep ran so far away. Oh! I remember it was masquerade night. At about now, akata was out. I believe you felt it. You could have just whispered to my ears "Ekaette papa, am leaving you soon". Maybe you did, but not in a language I understood. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention. Maybe I guess so It's Ten years already, But it feels just like yesterday. Adios Father |
