you will get a mail for the homestudy, and then homestudy test, you should contact HR if you do not get the mail soon

I guess the lack of accommodation is irritating(if that is true).
And Andela is kinda bias during the interview stages.

They barely ask most of the interviewees serious questions. It's based on who they like not just how passionate you are.

Yeah, accommodation is provided once you become a fellow. But there is no provision during the boot camp. This doesn't speak well as many people apply from outside Lagos. But make we first do this one.

yeah, I reason with you, considering that am faced with the same challenge, its a large risk to take for such low probability of positive outcome. But what can we do bro, its not as if there is any company around that provides you with the same type of opportunity that Andela provides.. The arrangement would be to look for a friend or family bro. But I hear there's breakfast and lunch though.

Dear Andela before you start advertising posts that u are willing to train nigerian programmers u beta state your requirement for candidates required to enter ur program b4 u waste peoples tym. Imagine going thru the registration and preparing 4 d test which I passed well @ first trail. Only for me to attend your joke of an interview I mean the small guy did not ask me anything serious I still managed to answer his few questions respectfully, despite my vast experience in programming. But just a couple of days later only 4 me 2 get a regret mail without any real reason but @ the same tym u are still advising me to register again really I don't understand.
Am not saying this out of rage cus I have moved on and returned to my place of work but from what am seeing online u are still accepting applicants even tough u say u have a record number of applicants just kindly let them knw what they are required to have whether in age, degree, background or experience as some people are coming from different states, so u do not waste anybody's time. Cus my tym is very precious to me which u took 4 granted and likely others too.

Getting into Andela is not about years of experience in programming, in fact i posit that the higher experience you tell them they you have the less likely you are to make it. remember its a training program not a job. if you tell them you are already a pro they would be less inclined to train you unlike a novice with little experience.

Was that stated as a disadvantage in their job posting? A training program as they stated that gives an opportunity to join them at the end of four years. So its not a job?

Pls don't get it twisted. Andela's purpose of training you is not to employ you after the four years. You might get employed by them after the four years bit that's not the aim of the training at all. The aim is to discover hidden talents. People who are good at coding but don't know it yet and need to be shown the ropes. like Ramos16.
