They would definitely have steady power supply if they put this dam into good use. It can generate lots of megawatts.

Re: A Street In Onitsha After Heavy Rain by Deltagiant: 6:40pm On Sep 05, 2015
What's the purpose of the thread? This is a natural occurence after any abnormal rainfall.

It does even happen on the streets of well engineered roads in Europe.

It has nothing to do with the Govt. It just an ordinary flood it happens everywhere even in Europe.
Re: A Street In Onitsha After Heavy Rain by October1960: 6:42pm On Sep 05, 2015
Africa !!
The present and past Governors and LG officials have used money meant for development to purchase property in Europe and USA. Don't worry their Children will not experience this flood.

Exposure matters. What you should have said was "aren't the people of Onitsha paying taxes?" oh wait; Nigerians hardly ever pay taxes and everyone is ok with it. You all wonder why the west is so much better. well, they take the issue of taxation very seriously because it is what is used for developmental projects and maintenance. The government expects every able bodied person to pay their taxes and the people expects that their taxes are used judiciously. Nigerians expect change but don't want to change their mentality. Good luck with that.
