Taking place over the course of over two decades, City of God tells the story of Cidade de Deus (Portuguese for City of God), a lower class quarter west of Rio de Janeiro. The film is told from the viewpoint of a boy named Rocket (Busca pé in Portuguese) who grows up there as a fishmonger's son, and demonstrates the desperation and violence inherent in the slums. Revisited. One of the best subtitled films I've ever watched. Ever. 9/10.

This is one fantastic movie. I watched it as far back as 2007. I actually have the CD somewhere. It's mixed with subtitles. Based in a true story. Real gangster shit.

Hitman: Agent 47. Nice movie. But they made a mistake with Agent 47's character. The dude is supposed to be bald. But nice movie sill. Way better than the last one!

This is one of those films that I know I should watch, but I'll probably never watch. It's based on real life events, so that's just enters a new level of sad - the things people do to people etc. I tend avoid biopics because of that, especially when I know it's a tragic story with a tragic end. Eg. The Tina Turner biopic, What's Love Got to Do With It, is brilliant because we know that she turned her life from the disaster that was Ike Turner. But, with the Amy Winehouse documentary (I won't be surprised if she gets a film in the future), Amy, we know she died thanks to the choices she made. If we ever get a proper Whitney Houston biopic film, we will know that she died after epic mistakes and her only daughter followed suit years later.

About to watch Descendants. Watching solely for Kristin Chenoweth, the tiny woman with the big voice, the only actor I'll really tolerate when it comes to OTT acting. She's definitely the shortest actress to ever play Maleficent.
