This is not the first time she was reported to be packing in and packing out of his house. That mean after the begging, he still maltreats her. She must have known he would never change. And she must have thought it through intensely before making her decision. Maybe she even stayed that long in the marriage because of the children.
Leaving the children in his care is what I don't like, but we never can tell, he may not allow her to leave with them.

Emeka Ike is just playing the victim card. It is obvious she is tired of the marriage. He should let her be.

She can't continue to stay in a marriage where the husband does not respect her and worse than that physically and emotionally abuses her. If anything bad happen to her (God forbid) during those rounds of beating, it is people that will still come to criticize her on why she did not leave the abusive marriage.

Maybe she wanted to be alone to regain her sanity. Maybe.....
