5minsmadness:So she stayed in his house for awhile before going to a hotel? And still the wife wife was not informed that another woman was in her house? This is not the kind of thing you do without thinking of your spouse even when you have no ulterior motives. First off if my wife is away I will not allow another woman (excepting close family) to stay overnight. Secondly if I am going to receive guests my wife will be informed especially when I will be financially responsible for their stay. Lastly, as much as I want to be a gentleman only an emergency will make me consider being financially responsible for an ex's accommodation. I can drive her to the hotel after picking her up or even take her around town if free however my wife will be duly informed. |

DuchessLily:If u had followed the story at all instead of going into a paranoid fit you'd realise that she didn't know whether the wife was around or not. She didn't plan to come when the wife was absent it just happened and it's possible she decided to take advantage of it. She came unannounced. The wife was not at home. He entertained her. When it seemed she wanted to stay over he sent her off to a hotel instead of her spending the night. She may indeed have had ulterior motives. He didn't. Now he's wondering whether to let the wife know what happened or forget about the whole thing. It's cos of reactions like yours am telling my guy to keep mum. |

LordReed:Congratulations. Well said. You're a model husband. Now this guy has done this, should he tell his wife about it or not? |

OK let's assume it was a co-incident she visited when d Wifey wasn't around . ex stayed till late and d Wifey still wasn't back, possibly because she isn't in town abi??If its d woman who did this, I bet u wouldnt think of the word "paranoid" when u judge her...and type , 'that bit¢h ain't loyal' ![]() |

DuchessLily:Nope, I don't do that. ![]() There's nothing to modify. Read it again. Am not supporting his actions. If u read earlier u will see where I said we already chastised him. The issue now is whether to tell his wife about the incident or let sleeping dogs lie. |

5minsmadness:Once married all ties with x and y must be broken, she has no business coming to visit you from mars or jupiter. If your friend really respects his wife and marriage he should let his wife know about the visit after which he should proceed to givivg his ex a stern warning to stay away from him, their relationship is in the past. |

5minsmadness:Wrong question! ![]() Of course, they would want to know... The right question could have been, Ladies how will you handle it after knowing? |
| Re: Ladies Would You Want To Know About This? by UjSizzle(f): 5:46pm On Sep 08, 2015 |
Why didn't he tell his wife his ex was coming to visit? Abi was it an impromptu visit? Anyway that's the first question I'd ask him. And yes I will love to be told my husband's former lover is paying him a visit. |

What's the state of his marriage? If the couple has been having problems, this is not going to look good and will cause some wahala. But if they are okay, he can tell his wife (yes she will ream his arse) but hopefully there's enough trust between them and they both decide how to draw boundaries with their exes/friends. Also, ask him how crazy that ex is. Because she saw an opportunity and took it. Which means her motives weren't pure and since she's cordial with the hubby, she may "very cordially" add the wife on fb and "very cordially" mention the story in an "innocent" manner to the wife (knowing precisely how it will sound if the wife doesn't know and yes, most people will expect the husband not to tell his wife, so the ex could score a cheap shot easily). Prolly best to tell his wife, weighing pros and cons. He should hold money to buy an "I screwed up" gift after and be very humble in his house wifey will calm down eventually and she may trust him more. |

5minsmadness:No, too many questions to answer since it wasn't disclosed at the time it would have made a difference. All it'll do now is make the wife suspicious. If he truly did nothing then let sleeping dogs lie. |

The ex is so disingenuous. Who goes to a married ex' house, purposely overstays till night and gleefully accepts being lodged in a hotel? I would like to know and he would be given a good lecture in relationship etiquette, he will apologize for his foolishness and promise not to make such mistakes again. |
| Re: Ladies Would You Want To Know About This? by Nobody: 10:16pm On Sep 08, 2015 |
5minsmadness:Well he should have informed his wife before she visited or even when they were talking. Be sincere how would you feel if you knew your wife did the same. |

The husband should of course let the wife know that the ex CAME TO VISIT HIM. Who cares "if nothing happened"? The point here is that a marriage is built on trust and transparency, and they should infom each other of their activities. |

He should confess to his wife and ask for penance. Why bring such hassle into his life ? Leave ex where they belong, oblivion. Unless to show off how successful you are, cut off ties. |

5minsmadness:You don't understand women at all, but your friend, the culprit does. Please, allow him tell her. Her intuition will sense something..even though she doesn't know what it is, without his telling her. His telling her will make her trust him more. Please, stop discouraging your friend from doing the right thing. Please I beg you ![]() |

He should not tell his wife anything. Why the sudden feelings of guilt anyway if nothing happened? He should just make sure he never finds himself in such a situation again, and he should free his ex. All these talking to exes na wahala e dey bring |

The man alone knows the type of lady he married, no one can decide for a man how to handle his home, if he is sure that the wife will be cool with knowing about the Ex's visit without too much drama and distrust thereby making it a reference point to hurt him any moment an opportunity comes for her to travel again, he should let her know , but if she is the type that will find it hard to forgive and let go, create a scene and make bigger issue out of it then I will advice that he keep it to himself, stay away from the Ex and cut off the 'cordial relationship'. Please, note that the 'Ex' in this matter definitely has an agenda, the guy should cut the tie now. No man will tolerate such , do unto others what you want them do unto you next time. |
