A Letter To The Edo People(bini Tribe). by Ugomba(m): 8:36am On Sep 10, 2015 |
Identity is an important asset a group of people can have and it is to be guided and preserved. My attention have been drawn to an Edo website where edo people were trying to rewrite Anioma history and claim us. The Anioma Nation will never allow a group of people from a tiny state inflict Identity crises on us and our future children.. Our Anioma son, Nzeogwu led the coup team that caused a huge crisis which left many of our SE brothers dead in the 1966 progrom in the North.. Civil War broke out, many of both Anioma and SE Igbos fought for the Biafran Army... Sometimes I wonder had it been our SE brethens rejected us and Nzeogwu, The civil war would have been between Anioma vs Nigeria.. But Ojukwu and our SE brothers stood by Nzeogwu which irritated the Northerners.. where were the Edo people then? My question- 1) where were the Edo when the Asaba people were fighting in the civil war. Remember the Asaba massacre when the Edo people opened the midwest door for the Nigerian Army. 2) Do Anioma, Ogwashi Ukwu, Aniocha, Asaba, Oshimili etc sound like a Bini language. 3) We Do Not Bear Bini Name but Igbo name; we have our Eze, Obi etc and not Oba. 4) why are you Edo people marginalizing the Igbanke people in your state? 5) Our People are members of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo and have produced a president in that Association. IGBO is NOT a tribe But a Nation of many Igboid ethnic groups and Anioma is proudly one of it.. We are angry when people toy with our history and our identity.. Edo people pathetic attempt to claim our Anioma land will FAIL woefully and if they cross their bounderies, It will be WAR.. Long live Ogwashi Ukwu Long live Anioma Nation. Thank You 33 Likes 7 Shares |

As for Biafra, we Asaba people Do NOT want another war. If a group of people want to have their own country, invite them to roundtable and give the a refrendum just like Britain did to Scotland. 4 Likes |

first and Foremost The OP is nt from Delta, Igbo man trying to claim Anioma, Read all his comment e gat no trace Of Anioma in him... Most anioma av met av claimed they migrated from Bini , But the Hatred This Igbo guy av 4 Edo and Yoruba is too much, so e thinks d Best Way is to claim Anioma so e could Get Back At them. Edo don't need to fight Over Anioma, if its because of Biafra u created this thread then u must be a fool, Secondly as for ur comment OP, Pls do speak 4 ur Anioma people, we Itsekiri, Urhobo, Isoko re fully in support of Edo, Any where Edo go we go, but obviously nt Biafra.. 11 Likes |

Ugomba:Thank you my brother As for those Edoids claiming Anioma...they should be careful bkos if they try fim they'd not only be fighting the Anioma Resistance army but the ones that would pour from the Niger. If the oba of Bini could build a moat around his city to protect himself from the attacks of the obi of Agbor then he should know it'd not be child's play if he triggers the invasion of a nation that's 15X his country's population 11 Likes 1 Share |

@OP you dey mind am. Even agbor, it made me feel pity when I read a statement from the past dein of agbor where he stated Here tradition tells us that Ogele or Ogene was the patriarch of our ancestors; but whence he came from we do not know for certain. Even the Benin, who claim him as their own, confess to the mystry of his exact association with them. Better to know the man from his deeds among us, as I have recounted. We believe that early Agbors have some cultural affinity with the East Niger—Igbo people, and that the Edo people as neighbors of Agbor http://ikaworld.com/books/Iduwe.History.pdf After he died, may he RIP, the new dein that is half Benin decided to switch the story. After reading that, I felt so sorry for am and stopped seeing agbor ppl as groups to look down on but actually pity. It is the same with onitsha, I remember coming in contact on a forum where the Onitsha people were arguing against the Benin descendants stories. There was even one Onitsha chick I used to know that told there were this Edo group in FB the Edo followers she had kept putting up in and anytime she decline their request, they send it to her again. She said she literally had to beg them to stop and inform them she's Igbo, not Edo before they actually left her alone. I equally came in contact with an article where one guy was attacking obi of owa and obi of Idumueje-unor for writing a book and trying to correct the Bini descendants stories many have been spreading for their land. SMFH I've always said it, the mistake our ancestors did was allowing Bini migrants to continue staying with them after defeating them during their colonization attempt. That was the biggest error our ancestors did because to me personally, modifying the history of others is modern day colonization attempt. Their offspring have grown, adapted into the community and now seen as one of us so they are back to what their great great great grandparents tried and failed at. Anyway for me personally, they are not doing that rewritten thing for Asaba so I can careless. I just pity those that have to go through it. Smfh 8 Likes 3 Shares |

South South will Form Niger Delta republic not Biafra. Biafra is for south east ONLY South South is almost 3 times the size of south East. Yet the population of South east is almost 80% of south south population base on 2006 census. But by the time you add igbo who are currently leaving outside south east, you will discover that thier population is more than all the south south put together. More than 90% of the resources (oil, gas, limestones, etc) are in the south south. The whole of South East is landlock with no direct access to the sea or atlantic ocean. but almost all the south south states have direct assess to the sea and atlantic ocean. Some will say they have River Niger. River Niger is not a sea or an ocean for big Ships. Tell me why South South Nations will want to form a country with south east if they have a choice ? all south east will bring to the table is population and domination? The total oil production from south east is not up to 10% of south south oil production! if Nigeria will divide peacefully by United Nations referendum, south south will not join Biafra. Peaceful division of Nigeria can only be into a minimum of five countries (Arewa republic, Niger Middle belt, United Niger Delta, Oduwa republic, and Biafra). South South will form its own nation/nations. The only way south south and south east will form a single country like Biafra is if Nigeria divide by War because population will be important in size of Army. a quote from Isaac Adaka Boro Autobiography (wriiten himself). Read Chapter 5 - Campus Politics http://www.adakaboro.org/the12dayrev/chapter-5-campus-politics. This was the campaign statement of his opponent for UNN SUG presidency: "My opponent, Ejiogu, took the floor when I had finished, and what did he say? "Ladies and gentleman, this is a crucial time in Nigeria when we should not allow a vocal minority to rule an obvious majority. These words still ring in my memory because, as my opponent put it, they are crucial not only to me but to my people, the Ijaws. Most of the alien students walked out of the hall and it seemed as if a spell was cast on the atmosphere. The campaigns ended solemnly and the result of the election was again one way. Ejiogu won with his majority. The last minute strategy. A Cameroonian friend of mine, John Ngole, promptly resigned his secretaryship of the Historical Society in protest." 1 Like

Goodboiyy:Of all the BS you wrote up there the highlighted aspect is the only part that makes sense Seriously, if not for the craftiness of IBB there was absolutely no need carving out your "delta" tribes from bendel..all IBB would've done was create Anioma and then carve out the ijaw parts into the old rivers state(which is present day bayelsa). Biafra as already enumerated so many times has no space for you guys, unlike the Anioma and ijaw that are full time stakeholders. The OP is Anioma and nothing can change that! He's just sick and tired of inconsequential nincompoops trying to appropriate his people into a farce He's not interested in 10 Likes |

The obi of said in this article that he and the Oba of Benin are 'direct blood brothers '. "We are direct blood brothers, so at that time, there was a lot of pandemonium, my life was at risk, the safest place for me then was to have stayed with my brother, the Oba of Benin. Therefore, I was there briefly before they finally took me abroad." http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/what-buhari-should-do-with-tompolo-asari-dein-of-agbor/ Enough Said 2 Likes |

phyllosilicate: The new dein of agbor is half Benin in case you are not aware. That's why he's currently contradicting the past dein and modifying history written by the past dein. Oh while I'm at it, agbor is not the entire anioma. Hell they are not the entire ika either. They are just a small section of anioma. 5 Likes 1 Share |
