Enyimba V Dolphins Preview by chichriso(op): 3:24am On Sep 13, 2015
The coach of the Port Harcourt side has vowed to inflict a defeat on the league leaders at their
slaughter slab in Aba just like they did to his team in the first leg Stanley Eguma, head coach of Dolphins, has charged his players to aim for an away victory when they face Enyimba in Aba on Sunday.

The People’s Elephant were vicious in the
corresponding leg played at the Liberation
Stadium in Port Harcourt on May 17 as they
defeated the Pride of Rivers. Enyimba are yet to look back after that inspiring result in Port Harcourt as they are currently atop the league table with 52 points from 28 matches,
four points above second-placed Warri Wolves. It is with this backdrop that Eguma in a chat with Goal ahead of the crucial tie in Aba revealed that he has told his players not to be intimidated by the impressive results of Enyimba. The former U23 coach told Goal that Enyimba’s undoing would be laxity and overconfidence borne out of the fact that they had beaten them in the first leg and with the conviction that they could repeat the same feat without much sweat in front of their vociferous fans on Sunday.
“We all know that Enyimba have been very brilliant in the league this season but that doesn’t mean that they are without mistakes and cannot be beaten anywhere even before their fans.
They beat us in Port Harcourt sometime in
May and that day remained evergreen because it was the first time we had lost a game at home in three years," Eguma told Goal.
“I have told my players to be ready for war and
for the fact that they beat us the first time during the first stanza, there is the tendency for them to believe that it would be easier for them to repeat the feat in Aba.
This is where I also told my players to be vigilant about and use this against them on Sunday.”
Dolphins are 16 on the log with 31 points from 28 matches after their 2-0 home win over Bayelsa United on Monday. It was the first time that the club would be out of relegation zone even though it is only on goals difference.

Enyimba on their part were pinned 1-0 in Jos against Giwa FC last Sunday. It was only their
fourth loss of the campaign in a season where
they have got 18 points on the road. They are first on the league table with 52 points. Enyimba will have full complement of their players available for the match except Christian
Obiozor who is yet to recover from a knee injury. Dolphins have injury complaints of their own with Victor Ezuruike the notable absentee as he is yet to recover from a surgery he underwent recently while Chiwendu Ali, Ifeanyi Egwin and few others are also battling hard to be available for the tie.

The odd favours Enyimba to continue with their
impressive rollercoaster performance with
another home win having beaten FC IfeanyiUbah 4-0 in their last game at the Enyimba International Stadium but Dolphins are buoyed by their determination to escape the drop at the end of the season.
