So much have be written on this blog and many other fora but the Bible is written to testify about Jesus. He is the main theme of the Bible.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. - John 5:39

One basic reason why Jesus cannot be any other person but God is based on the fundamental relationship that exists between God and man.

One of the many characterstics of a covenant is that you cannot enter into one by proxy. All the parties must be in attendance. This occured thrice.
1. Covenant between God and Abraham

And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: - Genesis 15: 17 - 18.

Covenant between God and the. Israel / World.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: - Jeremiah 31:31

A prophecy fulfilled about 700 years later.
Jesus gather twelve Apostles together to pioneer a new generation of Covenant people and made a universal covenant with them:


For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. - Matthew 26:28

In Hebrews it is written that God had yo take the form of man to identify with HiS own:

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. - Hebrews 2:16
He became a Son over His own house:

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. - Hebrews 3:6.

Again, the discourse between Jesus and the disciples in John 14 through 17 before going to the cross clearly shows that Jesus cannot be any other person than God.

If I am a son of God, confirmed and recognised by God my father and fulfilling scriptural provisions, why not?
