Why's Kogi borrowing that much, when their elections are soon? What's Delta and Bayelsa borrowing for? Shameful lot.
What's shameful about borrowing money from the central bank again?
Is the money free?

Upon that Gov. umahi of Ebonyi State is paying half salary to workers after slashing same by 50%. Same Umahi promised to increase the workers salary by 100% during his campaigns but later turned his back to the workers, insisting that even the old salary structure in the State is no longer sustainable. Our State Governors are terrible.

You should be thanking Obiano who has been the governor of Anambra for nearly two years now.
And the projects in Anambra state are still carrying on in a blinding pace with no sign of a slowdown
Not really cos Obi had set up a rainy day fund that Obiano is drawing on. Obiano did save the money he's using; Peter Obi did!!

What is the essence of K e b i state joining the league.
What will that token do for a state.
Or is it because it's a loan free money That's why they had to put the state name on the the list.

Please
I still need the financial support from nairaland.
Help me and God Will reward you.

The so called road street light are no longer working for the past two two years. Osho! Osho!! Who dey cry dey see road oh!

What's shameful about borrowing money at all? Those states shouldn't be beggars and borrowers, considering that they receive about the highest allocations monthly.

Anambra aside Lagos is one of the few states that still impresses me. i could remember when NOI advised the state government on the need to benchmark that oil budget so as to allow for oil savings into the Excess Crude Account (ECA) and the SWIF. the proposition was vehemently opposed by Amaechi, the ex chairman of the NGF and his gang. they challenged the illegality of creating the ECA and SWIF saying that it's makes no economic sense to create another account other than the Consolidation Fund Account (CFA). after much litigation GEJ instructed NOI to discontinue the savings pending when they resolve the issue amicably(out of court). but Amechi being as obstinate as ever fustrated the efforts of Govt to restart the savings.
it was during the conflict that NOI adviced some state governors to benchmark their state budget in order to make some savings for the rainy days. only Anambra and Kwara heeded the advice and began bench-marking their budgets.
now that the raining has begun, everyone is looking for whom to apportion the blame for not saving. obviously, all fingers pointed to NOI. but they forgot NOI, Obi and GEJ were one of the very few that succeeded in making the Excess Crude Account legal before the eyes of the law. Now Anamabra seems somewhat prepared for the rainy seasons due to Obi's discretion. my humble contribution.

Those states have some of the lowest money coming in from the FG's revenue sharing formula. So no surprise.

What is surprising is Bayelsa state collecting so much money, despite a high IGR, getting the lions share of the revenue sharing formula and getting the 13% derivation funds.

Shame.
