You are a bit behind with national armed forces in developed countries. In the West for example, the army and navy have tactical airborne wings for multiple and coordinated strike capabilities and close combat support roles.

Don't put yourself down! No one knows it all; that's why we ask questions.

Now to your question. The air force can engage in long-range strategic booming of enemy facilities deep into enemy territory as well as front-line raids. The army air wing will engage enemy battle-field heavy weapons like tanks, artillery and rocket launchers as well as supplying forward positions with troops and equipments and ferrying the critically wounded to station hospitals.

If the navy and the air force join in these tasks: destroying enemy bunkers, cutting down enemy advancing spearhead or enemy strong positions, the enemy army will be overwhelmed and victory will be achieved with minimum loss of own soldiers and other military personnel.

Not at all .. Army Aviation will consist mainly of attack helicopter and a floating artillery like the AC 130 Hercules .. Do U know Apache Attack helicopters are flown by the US army .. The Airfoce should be reserved for strategic Air attacks and massive haulage .. So U know most of the Airstrikes U see the US do these days is carried out by Navy aviation and do U know the US Marines are not in the US ARMY but its Navy .

If you had any brain cells you would know that the topic is my business. Go and work in a General Hospital and stop looking for where the pay is higher. The military is country first not your damn ego or pocket.

Back to the topic; for those who see the new NA Aviation Corp as a waste go do a research on the US Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) covertly known as the " Night Stalkers" before you come here to vomit rubbish from the comfort of your home/office.

The insurgency in the north east showed the capability gap of not having a dedicated army aviation unit. I can authoritativly tell you the unit is getting new Turkish T129 Attack Helicopters and we maybe the first foreign launch customer.

Nothing you've said is new to me..i only inferred you compare Nigeria to her true peers..countries like SA, Egypt, Algeria, maybe Brazil.

How could you use USA and Russia to compare Nigerian army?..its unfair to even compare Nigeria to India or Iran.

There's a reason one has to go through an academic calendar...no matter how brilliant a student is, he cannot jump from B.Sc to Ph.D.

Nigeria has to grow herself.

Regardless, you learn from the best even from 'KG'.

OTOH, tens of serious-minded-countries, less wealthy, less experienced, are doing better than us presently militarily -- even in Africa, countries like Algeria, Egypt, SA 'would chew us raw' in the air.
