The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is to investigate the disparity in student’s performance between the examination it conducted and that of the National Examination Council (NECO). The head of the National Office of the examination body, Mr. Charles Eguridu, told newsmen in Abuja, that the council would not compromise standards and its marking schemes on the altar of mass appeal and patronage. He however assured that the research department of the council will conduct an extensive investigation and comparison with the results released by the two examination bodies with a view to addressing areas that needed urgent improvement.
