In Western region for instance the state with highest number of wealthy individuals is Ogun State.

In Northern region the state with highest number of wealthy individuals is Kano State.

In Eastern region the state with higheat number of wealthy individuals is Delta State.

I think Anambra, Ogun, Delta, Kano, Abia and others.
We are not talking about a state where 15 or 20 individuals stick out as money bags amongst the teeming poor.
In Anambra you can count the moneybags in their thousands.Nnewi town alone has over 50 billionaire business
men and women and other towns have theirs as well.
IMHO I think Anambra takes the lead as the state with the highest number of indigenous billionaires in Nigeria.

Delta actually used to be West. Azikiwe, after he realized West was developing ahead of everyother part of Nigeria....in an attempt to truncate our progress misused Federal Powers to divest and create a new region out of West and called it MidWest. It was not called MidEast...but MidWest.

Awolowo paid him back by advising Gowon to divest COR from East.

Today's Delta had gone through many political transformations and it looks like the people love their new identity as Deltans and dont want to be associated with anyone. I continue to see them as East but they dont like it and get upset....particularly the Ikas, Etches, Urhobos and Ijaws. The Itsekiris know where they belong so they dont care if you even call fhem North....there is no dispute about their origin in Ife.


I always call Delta Eastern region...but they hate that.
