Abia PDP Sinks: Sen. Chris Adighije ,Tony Ukasanya, Others Decamp To APC by basedonbelieff(op): 11:31am On Sep 28, 2015
The Peoples Democratic Party of Abia State have
experienced shock over their members who decamped
to All Progressive Congress.
The decampees who came under the umbrella of
Concerned Abians for Good
Governance yesterday said that their decision to dump
PDP was due to lack of internal democracy in the
party. The Leader of the group, Mr Tony Ukasanya
accused the leadership of PDP in the state of losing
focus and derailing from the vision of the founding
fathers of the party. Senator Adighije and Tony Ukasanya who are supporters of the gubernatorial aspirant of APGA, Dr. Alex Otti are believed to have moved to pave way for Otti to join APC after regaining his mandate.
Also, the former Commissioner for Information hon. Eze Chikamnayo said it had been the desire of the South
East people to be in the mainstream political party. He
said that the anti- corruption disposition of President
Muhammadu Buhari had endeared APC to him and
others in the state. “What we need in our State today
is change which APC represents in Nigeria today, and
that change cannot elude Abia. We are to be part of
that change movement.”
Furthermore, Abia State Chairman of APC, Hon.
Donatus Nwankpa assured of level ground for new
entrants into the party. He promised to work with them
and collaborate with them towards ensuring that APC
takes over the entire State”.

Any South-East politician who joins APC has gone into political retirement because we as a people have rejected this party. There is noway Alex Otti will join APC after regaining his mandate, not if he does not want to become a hated figure
