Chelsea striker Diego Costa is available for Tuesday's match in Porto because his domestic three-match ban does not extend to European games.

Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi hurt his right knee against Moreirense on Friday, but is in the squad.

Midfielders Hector Herrera and Silvestre Varela have been left out.

The Blues began their group campaign with a 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, although they are a lowly 15th in the Premier League after seven games.

Porto coach Julen Lopetegui, a former Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper, said he has not factored in Chelsea's domestic form.

"They have kicked off by winning 4-0 and that says how they are going to hang on to this competition, which is the most important at a club level," he said.

"That they started their own league better or worse has no impact. They are great team with great potential at every level."

true but La Liga is still generally boring to follow as only those 2 dominate .... I prefer watching the EPL, even if slightly inferior in football quality to RM & Barca because you have more parity within the league and thus more exciting/entertaining games.
