Please Nigerians, I have sat back to look at how much progress we have made since independence and I want to ask if "ONE NIGERIA" is necessary? If you check you will notice that the British created Nigeria for their own advantage and nothing more. If you check also Singapore and Malaysia were one country but separated after the British left. Singapore today has a population less than Kano, but Singapore is richer than Nigeria and does not depend on crude oil exports per se. Malaysia actually expelled Singapore in the 60's. Look at India, Pakistan and Bangladesh -the same thing happened after the British the left and the separated. Nigeria has remained a colony of the British even after Independence. Little or no progress has been made and I think breaking Nigeria at least back to what it was before the British should be the way to go. If you check, for the 55 years we have sold oil, little or no progress was made, in the next 50 years oil would stop selling and there would not be any progress still. Also, oil is not needed but the British remote controlled Northerners to make everyone believe in Crude oil. Remember they stopped buying oil under GEJ, did the country collapse? I think the Bakassi approach to Cameroon should be done to Biafra too and avoid any bloodshed. What do you think? Please include reasons and examples of what you think is an advantage of "One Nigeria". |
