Modric was not the only issue we had
there was the Kroos, James, Bale, Benzema and Ramos issues.
These were aggravated by the reluctance of the coach to play other players before the collapse of the first 11.

Modric was truthfully the fulcrum of the team but his absence was made worse by the absence of the ablve players at various times of the season.
