Pls note, password for all files I posted here is either "hero" or "hero2".

i need help. my zero 2 is asking for download update (ver x509-j5800-kk-20150804).16gb rom, 2gb ram. should i download? i bought it june 20th @mizbeach agege. and if any further necessary steps to take pls advice me. whatsapp 07038190037.

pls house am a novice n I need to upgrade my zero 2 to lollipop sumone kindly highlight d procedures for upgrading pls ooooooo

Please read through the thread, a fix has been discussed here... Or to be more specific, you'd need to flash a new systems.img file on your phone.

Yes, you can if you want to. However note that if you've installed a custom recovery the process might fail unless you after downloading the update, power down and install it through your custom recovery...

Lemme get it clear; I thought there's app to custom recovery rather than power down. In my case I haven't installed anything just as new as it is. But requesting for updates which I really want to know the process in doing it.

Hi Wallace, to upgrade, you can check your phone settings to see if there is newest version. Ways as following: Settings---About phone---System Updates--Check for new version. Thank you!
