Former Kogi state governor and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Prince Abubakar Audu has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already training thugs ahead of the November election in the State.

Addressing the zonal rally held in Kabba , Prince Audu stated that the ruling PDP in the state has recruited 10 thugs from each of the 21 local government areas of the state.

While advising party supporters to be vigilant, the APC flag bearer equally asked them to kill any thug that dares them as their objectives will be to intimidate and steal their votes. He emphasised that they should not spare the thugs,”kill them” if you see them at your villages and polling units.

The crowd cheered in ecstasy in response to the charge by the former governor.

The APC candidate therefore warned the PDP and its government in Kogi state to refrain from their evil plans and give peace a chance and allow democracy to flourish as being enjoyed in other states.

According to Audu, the state has receded in terms of development since he left office 2003 due to lack of commitment to the peoples desire for prosperity and progress.

In his remark, Deputy Majority Leader of House of Representatives, Honourable Umar Buba Jibrin urged the people of Kogi West Senatorial district to vote massively for APC as the state cannot afford to be in the opposition.

The law maker advised APC supporters not to allow themselves to be intimidated or succumb to PDP doctrine of do or die.

His choice of words must be condemned in totality.Its high time these guys understand that hate filled politics or campaign can never augur well with this country or the democracy she is practicising.

I won't be part of this if this report is true.

I hope this news isnt true. A prospective governor shouldn't be encouraging the people to take laws into their hands. If they start killing, at a point they won't distinguish between who is a thug and who is an innocent voter. How can he be encouraging extra judicial murder? Maybe he was high
