We've heard enough of these stories about OBJ stealing $16billion meant for power but that's absolute rubbish. If OBj was directly involved in that mess, he wouldn't be as bold as he is today.

After OBJs tenure, the ndudi elumelu headed power probe indicted several big men, those men are not ghosts but rather, are the same set of big men and friends of the government that still controlled things in this country during the reign of GEJ. I think it is silly to heap the blame on OBJ even when a probe was conducted and names of the real culprits were mentioned. Besides, if OBJ was still the president following the probe, maybe something would have been done about the criminals. But unfortunately, the immediate ex-president didn't think it was necessary to go after such criminals, in fact, according to his goat and yam ideology, these people were only involved in 'mere stealing and not corruption' and hence should be let free.

Meanwhile we have die hard supporters of this immediate ex-president heaping the blame on OBJ as the one who pocketed the money. You guys should be honest with yourselves.

Now for those asking how OBJ became so rich, it is not rocket science to understand that as an ex-president, he would enjoy massive goodwill and can never be poor except he consciously chooses to be poor (like PMB etc). That is not to say the Ota man may not have stolen billions, but you can be assured that he has done it with the highest level of tact and his tracks can never be traced, hence his uncommon confidence today.

Go and ask how much a GE Frame 9 costs and multiply it by 39 including all the switchyard equipments and transmission lines before you come and say what you don't know anything about. All the power plants they are commissioning today were procured and paid for by OBJ before he left. Ask how manage machines that were already in this country 8yrs ago are still not commissioned fully when it doesn't take more than 2yrs for sane countries to install and commission same.

what you don't know is that Atiku is the one in charge of the power project then. He is the one that mismanage the fund. By the time the power probe is completed, it in Atiku that is going to land in jail. That is why OBJ did not want him to be the president of Nigeria. He spoilt baba's power project plans.

May be you were not in this country. The report did not say that the money went missing, it only said that there was not visible project on ground then to justify that huge sums of money(i.e. As at 2007 when the projects were at their infant stages). Now go and do research on the numbers of projects that have been commissioned since then nd others are still ongoing, all courtesy of the supposedly 'missing' $16billion(Remember House of Rep report under Bankole out the money at $6b)

I just laugh at the ignorance being expressed here by some trying to excuse their kit and kin and painting others as more corrupt than their kinsman that has been in power. Truth of the matter is that politicians and the military have been eating the country blind by siphoning monies that could have been used to develop the country in times past. To specifics,the allison lady is just being caught up in a complex web of intrigues at work to make her the fall lady. Successive govts have been looting the country through oil deals using the nnpc and laundering the proceeds through fronts and there only seems to be much noise about it now due to certain cabals who have been benefitting in the not too distant past wanting to exert a revenge during the past administration for reasons best known to them which they achieved by exposing a lot of info which marked the end of the previous dispensation. I know that allison lady is far more intelligent than we give her credit for,so i believe she has a very good defence in place and if they force her hand,she may well blow everything open in court. On someone saying obj couldnt have stolen,that can never be true. Baba was only wise to cover his tracks and invest his loot mostly in the country. Politicians make money through deals,kick backs and unexecuted inflated contracts. Ask urself,how so much money went into the power sector yet no single megawatts added.
